Building Blocks (LEGOS, Duplos, Mis Ladrillos...)

Ever played with any of these as a child? I remember them being very expensive in general and never really getting that many sets (indeed, a lot of them never left my wishlist). However, I had a blast building cars, castles, battleships, planes, houses... and a lot of other junk with friends and family, even going as far as to build these huge tanks with my best friends and throwing marbles at them just to stage epic "cannonball" battles and seeing who had built the toughest one. Good times, man.

What about you? What are your experiences with (what I like to call) "Real-life Minecraft"?

Legos were amazing as a kid. Made a ton of robots and made them fight. Yeah I was your typical jocky kid lol.

i still have some legos from when i was young. didn't really have anyone to play with them though. minecraft is more or less the same for me. fun to play, but it gets lonely after a while.

i'm working on that in a world in minecraft for the switch. got a fortress in progress with a cattle ranch and underground farm. kitchen, dinning room in progress, bed an heated bath, armory and small outdoor café and kitchen on the third floor. hand grown forest and village nearby.

That sounds intensely laborious, but I can only imagine your satisfaction when you finally oversee the completed project!

But then I got drafted as an organizer for the reunions, giving me full access to the building anyway XD

it is, but it was meant to be more of a relaxing thing to do in my spare time. when i have a chance, i'll take some pictures and upload them here on the site. and i'll add on to it. i've done all of the building in survival mode.

I built the house that way to try and lessen the chance of creeper damage. I actually built it on survival. That's probably why it was so tiresome LOL.

I got megablox, as in the giant ones, and some second hand Lego "Sets" that were all clustered in a box

I was more of a hot wheels kinda kid. I never liked legos I would either play with cars or do a regular puzzle like an old person
