I want a GameCube controller too (Well two as I like to have at least two of each controller) and don't know whether to use a genuine one with an adapter or try and find a decent USB one which I can see being difficult.I do this weirdest way; I have a SNES Classic Mini controller and a 8bitdo adapter mini-sausage that has port for GameCube and WiiMote Plug controllers. It supports both Xinput and Switch over bluetooth and makes both GC pads more easily usable on PC (my preferred way to play PSOBB) and the SNES Mini pad on Switch, which is along with my PC my main ways to play emulated retro stuff on my TV and sound blasters.
My friend did have, if not still has one of those buffalos. Aside it not being as rounded and maybe slightly thicker in parts that matter it is very much a ok pad. Weirdest thing my friend did was macro stuff for PC games to it so he does not need to hold down M1 or such stuff in survival games, but I am sure he has enjoyed more than enough DKC with it.
Yeah. The product I referenced to is 8BitDo "Gbros" adapter that is a small purple sausage that bluetooth or even wired connects one GameCube or one classic controller (NES mini and SNES mini ones also, or if you are lucky, the Japanese club nintendo SNES Classic Controller for Wii) and is easiest way to get native switch compatible of Xinput bluetooth communication, likely only wireless option since I recall that 3rd party Wii U smash bros adapters exist with Xinput or other "PC mode" in them. Though, not compatible with Wii Plug classic controllers.I want a GameCube controller too (Well two as I like to have at least two of each controller) and don't know whether to use a genuine one with an adapter or try and find a decent USB one which I can see being difficult.
I used to get USB ones but found them not to be as good as OEM, that why I did the adapter. I also got sick of buying adapters for each, like you I had to have multiple (4 in my case) of each... got expensive fast, but not with this adapter.I want a GameCube controller too (Well two as I like to have at least two of each controller) and don't know whether to use a genuine one with an adapter or try and find a decent USB one which I can see being difficult.
