Broken gifs in my signature

Every now and then, the gifs I use in my signature will break or corrupt or something. I'm not really sure what this is or why it happens, but it happens every so often and I have to edit my signature to get them working again. It seems that sooner or later, they'll break again and I'll have to reset them again. Is this just an issue with the forum's technology? Or am I doing something wrong when I add gifs to my signature?
An example of what I mean:

Try hosting the images on imgur instead of locally, and try putting a space between them so that they don't interact weirdly (like when you add emojis with :exampletext: colons too close to each other and they cancel each other out).

I'm not sure how to do that with imgur? Is that like, making an account and uploading them there? I tried copying a temporary upload link but that didn't seem to work.

I have added a space between for the time being anyway, so maybe that will help?

No account needed, just upload them with this button in the top left corner of the site, it should only take a few seconds:

Once you've uploaded the images, copy their individual links and paste them into the signature editor. Just make sure to insert them in-between the "signaturepicture" brackets as usual.

It might not do the trick, but it also might, so it's worth a try. I remember signatures struggling to show more than one gif in the past and I think? that resolved it.

fwiw, when you posted this I only saw the gif of the guy sitting with the legs crossed, but now I see that one and Kitty pointing, but the first one is still borked, so the spacing might've actually helped already.

For whatever reason, it looks fine on my end. Aside from the slightly too big imgur gif hehe

Yeah, I'm not sure. It happens every so often that one or more of my gifs break and it says it's a jpg I'd just been re-uploading/changing them when it happened, but I figured I'd see if someone knew what was up. Maybe it's just a forum quirk?

It might simply be that they just fail to load because the site calls for all the gifs being shown at the same time.

I reckon if it happens again, I might try using only one gif and see how that goes. Cheers anyway! I at least know now how to add stuff via imgur

I changed the one you said was still broken, so now to wait and see if one or more break again now that I've spaced them out a bit

IIRC, I was the one who put them there and they may have broken on their own (or through the site I put them on) since.

You did help me initially, way back when. Since then, I did figure out how to upload gifs from my PC and use them on my signature. So these ones I'm having an issue with are uploaded from my computer.

I will keep that in mind though if I continue having this issue. Much appreciated!
