I think they didn't change anything in the text. Same story and everything, making only mechanics and aesthetics better.

I admit it is mostly just because the retranslation is the only way I found out those were the original names. So if they have those names, highly likely they use the retranslation. Else, it has a chance, but also chances it is a mod on the base game.

And yeah, finding out the original names makes the Bosch you meet at the start of Dragon Quarter feel even worse, knowing he used to be Bow (well, I only ever played the start, he may come back later).

i absolutely HATE IT when people use the original japanese names in breath of fire 2 hacks (leave my beloved Katt alone) but this one doesn't thankfully

Did you need to do anything special to apply both the Color Restoration and the Sound Restoration on the same ROM? If so, could you put out a version of this that is JUST those restorations?

To tell the truth with the improvements of the brightness of the color range and as well as the sound, although it is not perfect, at least it gives a 2nd opportunity to this good RPG game from capcom despite being a port based on the SFC-SNES version.
