Hello everyone!

I'm finally back

I wanted to ask, what are your most WANTED books, like the books you dream of getting?

For me, it's probably the monogatari box sets, or the two Neuromancer sequels... I have no mouth and i must scream is pretty high on the list too, and the All tommorows physical release as well

Nice topic! I wish I would have made it myself :P

Anyway...

"My Courage To Tell" by Laura Corbeth.

"The Steps" by Wendelin van Draanen.

"Killer Kids - Volume 16" by Robert Keller.

Ooh, nice list

Not really a non-fiction guy myself, but maybe it's because i haven't read much nonfiction... still gotta finish I heard you paint houses by Charles Brandt, and im in the middle of The killers of the flower moon...

I was absolutely surprised there wasn't a thread like this going, thought it was going to get instantly deleted

I really want an Elric collection that's not super ugly, but they are either super ugly, or only have a handful stories.

Surprised i never heard of that series, thank you for bringing it to light to me, I'll check them out

One thing i forgot to put, since it wasn't on my mind at the moment i was making this thread, was the complete Conan chronicles

Hope you can find a complete collection soon!

an entire collection of Vampire Hunter D Novels.
Less weeby: Discworld Complete collection
Damn, should've been here at my country's annual book fair, they had all Vampire Hunter D novels...
I only recently started collecting the Discworld books, and im thinking, should've i just bought the collection? Too late...

I haven't read a good book in almost 3 years, I like to keep tabs on a few of them. The last I read was Frankenstein Book by Merry Shelly and 101 Arabian nights (PDF Version of the old one)

I have this one:

It’s probably my favorite edition of any book I own, apart from my LotR books!

right now im on the hunt for old Paul Jennings books like Unreal, Uncanny, Unbearable, Undone, ect.
also the Gizmo books and the Wicked! Series

After someone mentioned online libraries it's been hard to find a book I can't get a hold of but I would like more bilingual side by side books to learn more languages to justify their space on my shelf, I have a few children's folklore books in mind but I know Penguin has a few publications of short story ones and I want some classics in their native tongue like Don Quixote, Around the World in Eighty Days, Brother's Grim collection for a little class and schooling. If I could justify the space I would buy up the New Visions collection in their horror and fantasy lines and a complete shelf of L. Ron Hubbard's Writers of the Future anthologies especially the ones with illustrations.

Well my book shopping list is quite long lol:

• I wanna complete my Zhou Haohui - Death Notice series. I read its first book and loved it so much despite you may say "it's about detective - crime story so after all these years what a person could possibly write such a book in this genre and make it fun?".

• Erika Mcgann - The Demon Notebook series. I read the books by barrowing it from a friend and honestly I think I liked the books more that I would lol. It's about high school kids fool around with magic as games and jokes but then they accidentally turned into real deal witches!!!

• Joseph Heller - Closing Time. It's a sequel to Catch-22 which is a funny book about "rule 3 of this website" lol.

• Michael Blake - Dances With Wolves. After watching the movie I wanted to read its book for a long time.

• Italo Calvino - Invisible Cities. The book seem to be interesting but I don't expect much. We'll see.

• Gordon Korman - Schooled. One of my buddy recommended this book long time ago just because I created this meme lol:

• Stephen King - The Stand. It's a book published in 1978 that's about after COVID people live in Mad Max world due to collapsed society lol but honestly I never saw this book around despite his books are so easy to find. Damn time travellers making books disappear!!! lolol

• John G. Neihardt - Black Elk Speaks. 'nuff said lol.

• James Clavell - Shōgun. Reading the books in this time and age I guess would be like this especially to people who really have no idea how Japanese culture is lol:

• Arkady Strugatsky and Boris Strugatsky - Roadside Picnic. At the time I was reading Metro 2033 and one of my recommended me this book to me because of a similarity as in"if you enjoyed Metro you would like it too".

• Stephen Wildish - How to Swear. I wanna increase my SWE skill beyond what life allows me!!!

• John Kennedy Toole - A Confederacy of Dunces. I heard its humor darker than the time it takes place lol.

• Fyodor Dostoevsky - White Nights. Another book I borrowed and enjoyed a lot especially because of a specific funny situation lol.

• Mark Z. Danielewski - House of Leaves. This is how the book designed lol:

• The Tales of Ise. It's an ancient Japanese poem and stuff book. I need to download its wisdom to me brain but even native Japanese people can't read it!!! lol

• Wu Cheng'en - Journey to the West. Only after I can read Chinese.

• Luo Guanzhong - Romance of the Three Kingdoms. One of my friend eating my head for decades which I even borrowed the book and started a little but I'm convinced I better read it in Chinese and especially when I can binge read it... then I would start to act like a dragon of the kingdom!!!! lol

• If we can include mangas: The Eminence in Shadow.

• If we can include light novels: Wataru Watari - - Yahari Ore no Seishun Rabukome wa Machigatteiru. If the main guy didn't have interesting opinions I wouldn't care about it as this genre of stories are too opposite to me.

• I already have the book but wanna also own this special version:

• Lastly I'm curious about Haruki Murakami's book in general but we'll see.

I LOVE those books dude. I think I still have Wicked! Part 2 around here somewhere. And I either read or listened to tape cassettes of the Un- series at my middle school library :geek:

Thanks for unlocking some happy memories for me.

1st edition of all Harry Potter books, original english and sealed.
Parasite Eve novel.
1st edition of The Bible written in Hebrew.

1st edition of The Bible written in Hebrew.
So you mean Tanakh. Gotta say it's the real deal alright.

For example in Tanakh "Satan" is not a character but literally a word as a noun that means "opposer" so anyone who opposes and whatnot are "satan" like calling people a terrorist but the Christian Bible turned the situation into Korean drama lolol. So naturally for the real religion gotta read Tanakh 4 sure lol.

Yes, I meant the Bible written by Moses. That's the one I want :)
I need an NASB. They only really give the New Testament and KJVB out for free.

Not exactly shit I need before I die, but here's my Amazon cart (I know, yuck).
If you're a bored, old student of science & the humanities, look into theosophy. Religion and mythology have secrets buried between their lines if you have the prerequisite knowledge to see them.
