What happens when you insert a cartridge of Sonic The Hedgehog 1 on Sonic & Knuckles? To play this, on the "NO WAY?" screen press A+B+C (this was created as a secret hidden game, don't question it). Included are two versions: "Sonic & Knuckles + Sonic The Hedgehog" is the version included in Sonic Mega Collection (and all other Rom sites) which is basically Three games combined into one Rom which of course takes up unnecessary extra storage. And "Blue Sphere Standalone" Which is only the Blue Sphere game without the other two, ripped by my boddy "MainMemory".

If I remember correctly, the expansion of Sonic & Knuckles + Sonic the Hedgehog was originally going to be a complete game of Sonic 1 but starring Knuckles, but due to the limitations of the simultaneous colors of the Mega Drive/Genesis which are 64 and also that the palette of the Knuckles sprite could affect the palette of the sprites, objects and some enemies because they share the same color palette of the game, so Sega made the decision to scrap that and let the game just be it just this bonus stage of Sonic 3 which is the Blue Sphere, Although a User named Stealth made a Romhack called Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic the Hedgehog where Knuckles would be the protagonist in the First Sonic and also that Stealth took into account the use of the colors available in the palette for Knuckles that was like a medium dark red instead of red as in Sonic 3 although the result is not perfect but the user did what he could to make it possible for him to Sonic 1's Romhack was fully playable with Knuckles.

I remember seeing this screen at my local Blockbuster back in the day! I believe they enabled the Blue Spheres game, if memory serves me right.
