This is going to be a hot topic and I have to say, I'm really in the mood for a good new shooter right now. I'm ready Call of Duty, don't disappoint me.

Just saying this right now, the game will be bad. Cod has long since died, I think the last actually good cod was Modern Warfare 2019, and even that one had its problems. It's over, I think. One should just play other shooters like BF6, as I heard and from what I played from the beta, it's actually good. But what do I know? It's all just my opinion.

Dude do they still spam Call of Duty? Damn, they turned the shit into Americano "Super Mario" lol.

Haven't enjoyed a COD campaign since Infinite Warfare. IMO, that's the most underappreciated game in the franchise. The campaign is like no other COD.

I've replayed MW1-3, currently into Black Ops1 (for the first time actually, never played any CoD after MW3 in 2011) You saying Infinite Warfare has a great campaign makes me booting up qt with great expectations :D
HELL. NO.

Sincerely, a man with actual taste.
Okay. And now this. Is it that divisive?

Ayup. I'm sorry, but the Infinite Warfare iamthemilkman is describing doesn't exist. It's nothing more than a cliche storm of every sci-fi game at that time rolled into one. But the fact that it came before the current era means that it's now being felated by people like iamthemilkman for "MUH DIFFERENCE".

EDIT: Look, to each their own, but Infinite Warfare blows. And I HATE how it has a gained a diehard following. It's the COD equivalent of Resident Evil 6 where the game is a disaster that sold the series out (even more than it currently is in IW's case), and yet it some how has a loud, vocal minority of deranged nutters who unironically love it (though THANKFULLY, unlike RE6, Infinite Warfare is meant to have a good core gameplay loop and the vocal minority of nutters who like it are nowhere near as aggressive, deranged or idiotic as The Church of Jake Wesker, so...).

I see. Well, since the Internet has ways to let me "try" games, I might as well do with this one. However, your comment reflects the sentiment I came across while reading about the different "eras" of Cod. In other words: which Cod would you suggest if we're talking about a great single-player campaign? I really liked the original MW1-3. Clearly over the top but still with that 1% possibility of happening. In Black Ops ─ I started 2 yesterday ─ I somewhat see a pattern of people not dying although they should be clearly dead :D Also BO had, at times, a very underwhelming mission design.

Call of Duty 2 is a MASTERPIECE, ditto for the fifth game, World at War (which, coincidentally, kicks off the canon where most of Treyarch's entries, Black Ops series included, takes place).

>end game experience
I hate this shit so much

I'm happy with Battlefield 6.

Awesome, thx. Are the first CoDs also connected? Like ─ are there character arcs involved like with Soap, Price etc?

Nope. They are set in the same universe as Call of Duty 4 and its direct sequels and features namesakes of each character, but they focus on different perspectives during the second world war. Call of Duty 4 is more of a satire of, and loving homage, to pulp military stories, and although they are far more OTT and actionised, the satirical element is still present in Modern Warfares II and III.

Okay. Would you suggest getting them for PC or rather playing on RPCS3? I'm very much a M+KB fps player but I did notice that CoD feels more immersive and not "too" bad with a gamepad.

They made 7 of these?! My last COD was the first Black Ops 😆
