Best Video Game Sequels

Going for picks I haven't seen mentioned yet; I'd say Pikmin 2 and Metal Slug 2/X just based on how much they genuinely improved the game play of their respective series.

Yep. It was more than a fun game!! Thanks to that game and Valve I earned so much real life money lol. People were so crazy to buy hats and they did lots of things for it muhuahhahahaa.

I haven't seen anyone mention Soulcalibur 2 here yet so I'll say that one. The game has different a few character for each console interesting enough. Spawn on the original Xbox, Heihachi Mishima on Playstation 2 version and Link on Gamecube version.

Skate 2,
Super Mario Land 2,

the only exception (to me) is Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon. I know people prefer 2 but I always hated how slow it felt unlocking all of the abilities you start out with in 3.

I think it's like a rules of nature or something lol. After 1st game sell well they actually bother to add "they were planned features to add into the 1st game but was cut because if the game haddn't sell well enough we couldn't even cover the budget" stuff to 2nd game and then when 2nd game sell well they have no idea what to do but wanna milk customers more so the 3rd games are usually a turd lol.

I've loved FFX-2 because there's the happy ending (I was also okay with the bittersweet / open ending of FFX, but I'm happy I've played the sequel, though more silly than previous FF I liked it nonetheless)

Both of the Darkstalkers sequels clear the first one. Vampire Hunter and Savior.
Now that I think about it, a lot of fighting game 2's are really good.

For ever Doom Eternal, Hades, and Helldivers 2 there's 50 shitty games that come out in their place. Which has always been the case, but now there just so much more garbage you have to sift through. Guess its why they're gems

there are too many good ones but "Tony Hawk underground 2" might be one of my favorites sequels out there just to pick one out on the top of my head.
