Archie Sonic is the best Sonic. It's got the best lore. The best cast of characters outside the games. The best fights. The best story arcs. ACTUAL EMOTION AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!

Archie did shit the series wouldn't dare to do today. IDW looks so lame in comparison.

I'm not that knowledgeable about Sonic comics but the Archie Comics gave the beginning of the adaptations of the Sonic comics from '92/'93 onwards until 2016.

Pre-Penders Archie was a very fun action-adventure slapstick book. That's as much as I'll say. Still have issue 18 of it and the Sonic In Your Face Special

I do think Sonic going flat-out bonkers as "super sonic" is a neat touch though. Never really cared for the Fleetway book beyond the other comics like Shinobi, Golden Axe, Wonder Boy, and of course Decap Attack

Haven't read Fleetway myself. I personally both IDW and Archie both suffer from odd decisions while simultaneously having some great decisions. I Ultimately prefer Archie for it's world having an established hub with a consistent residence that's defined and changes over the years but i do like IDW for the more low stakes adventures it's always the end of the world with Archie can get tiresome
