Best psp actions rpgs?

Kenka Bancho badass rumble, Beat em up/rpg hybrid, where you customize your moveset and appearance, there is free rooming and time management.
 
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Dungeon Siege, Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity (definitely get that over 2, it's expanded and has an english patch here on The Repo) and although not really an RPG you gotta play Kurohyou, just not on Hard like me lol. People say Yakuza 3 is Blockuza, they haven't played Kurohyou, aka Grapplekuza.
 
I'm suprised no one mentioned Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep in this thread. It's heavily flawed but it's not that bad a game.

It's not for everyone, it's the whole Japanese High school delinquent aesthetic and culture.
If you played Kunio kun or more recently the River city girls games, you may get an idea.

I already played both kurohyou games and they were hard even on normal but tbh imma go n see why ppls like freedom unite so much

Heavily flawed? I like that game but when i tried it on hard i just deteled cuz it was too hard idk why i even wanted to play it like that but fr wdym by Heavily flawed (deteled the game not the save data)

I barely played the crunchy roll port of it but its meh tbh even tho i barely played kenka Bancho i would say its better then city girls even tho i dont hate it

Birth By Sleep is really good, but it has it's issues. I particularly have a hard time with the controls. Even on the remaster. Idk why, it just doesn't click in my head. But I also haven't finished it. I'm still technically on 2. Playing them in order and I have to restart 2 since I sold my PS5. I was at 98% on Critical mode. Playing them for the first time all on the hardest difficulties. Mainly because I like playing my games on Hard.

If I remember correct, you can play "Phantasy Star Portable 2" standalone, perfectly understanding the plot, but there should be light references to the events in the 1 (in fact, party characters from 1 are found again in 2).

If you can play "Infinity" with the English patch, that one contains both 2 and Infinity, and Infinity is a direct sequel to 2, so maybe start with 2 and then Infinity, if you want to skip 1. OR, just read some plot summary over the internet if you don't care much about story and you only want to enjoy the gameplay.

My opinion: after playing 2, 1 and then Infinity, 2 remains my favourite

I think that the Portable Series is way above Universe. Even AotI with the content update adding Portable 2 and Infinity's content back.

Infinity is still the ultimate Universe sub-series game (like Blue Burst for PSO) but I also like Vanilla Portable 2.

Shame they never made a Portable 3 on the PS Vita but Online 2 replaced Universe back in '12.
