I've been calling people I dislike a "jackanape" since I was three years old. I thought I invented that word. Turns out it's a real word meaning, "jerk-face."
I also often told a female relative that she was "despicable' after hearing the word from Daffy Duck. However, at age three I couldn't say the word quite right...so I was really telling her that she was "dickable..."
"The more that things change, the more they stay the same" said by Alphonse Karr. It's funny because it applies to so many things in life, both in our personal worlds and the world around us.
"Con 30.000 lire il mio falegname la fa meglio", citazione di uno dei migliori film comici italiani mai fatti. La uso per dire che un qualcosa saprei farla meglio di qualcuno che invece la fa una schifezza. "With 30,000 lire my carpenter could do it better", a reference from one of the best italian comedy movies ever made. I use it to say that I could do something better than someone who does it in a wrong way.
