So I got another advertisement for the FiiO Snowsky on my doom scrolling and it got me thinking what modern tech is out there that exists to be both retro themed but fulfills a modern day function?

The only things I can feasibly think of is The Analogue Consoles and Handhelds and Motorola reviving the Razr phone line to compete with the Samsung Flip. Anyone have any stuff to recommend?

Edit: I also want to mention I don't count 8BitDo's M Classic Keyboard because of it being a TKL and not a full size, I also want to include Silverstone's FLP series Cases.

Speaking 8bitdo and if you are wired like that, 8bitdo in general makes excellent recreation controllers and other products. For me the thing that connects me most to the system and it's games I am playing is controller, and thanks to 8bitdo I have wide enough array of controllers to use on most platforms I need wirelessly.

using modern tech to get a retro feel is basically my specialty, currently my stuff is

Ayn Thor
basically a modern premium nintendo DS, very powerful android chip, this is exactly what I would imagine the future to be like as a kid

Casio watches
maybe they are actual retro tech but they're still manufactured because they're simply the best way to tell time, calculator watch for maximum retro feel

basically any kind of electronics that is still wired and doesn't have a touchscreen still have the same feel as it always have, I have speakers on my desktop that still have physical volume control it's still easy to find (in fact it's often the cheapest thing available)

my computer setup is basically a mismatch of stuff that's 20 years old and stuff that's a few months old, the only thing that really need to be recent is the CPU, graphics card, all the stuff that make the computer go fast, for peripherals most stuff has been standardized a long time ago, I still use the same screens and keyboard as I have since my childhood (tho I did have to get adapters, cheaper than buying new screens tho)

Definitely all the chinese retro consoles (Anbernic, Miyoo, Powkiddy, R3xS series, Magic X, Retroid...) that are available nowadays count here. I want to highlight the RG34XX and RG34XX SP from Anbernic, as they mimic perfectly the GBA and GBA SP respectively.

The Retroid Pocket Classic looks like a perfect GBC clone, but I haven't held one. The Miyoo Mini Plus is probably the best thing you can get in the same vertical form factor that is easy to setup.

If you aren't purist about the form factor, there is definitely a lot of other options out there too. I have an RG353M myself which feels fantastic (And I always wanted a metal handheld, I'm stupid like that lol).

About keyboards, 8bitdo has a full size version of the keyboard you mentioned that looks pretty sweet...

... But there is always the option of building one yourself, there is a lot of keycap sets out there that mimic the retro look; and also switches (you might want to look into clicky ones) that can reproduce the feel of classic keyboards like the IBM Model M.

8bitdo also has the N30 mouse, which replicates the NES vibe. I don't think it looks specially comfortable.

Mouse wise I think nothing gets more retro (and comfortable) than using a trackball mouse, in any shape you want. Hell, there is even DIY projects out there if you want to go full nerd.

You mentioned the FiiO Skyline (which I'm always tempted to get, ngl), but have you thought about IEMs? That is another rabbit hole of it's own. Using cabled IEMs still falls in the retro category. I can't recommend anything here, as I use Bluetooth ones from Moondrop, but this same brand also has good IEMs with interchangeable cables even.
