What is le best gaming review channel that you know and generally trust most of le time when they review a game.
wich one do you think brings good facts and is not payed for by le Industry and is honest.
For le Example I watched LGR quite often
Its been a long time but I used to watch Gameranx before you buy Videos
I can't remember any Channel I would recommend besides them right now.

I rarely watch reviews anymore, but I definitely like Grimbeard's stuff

What do you even call the format people like Warlockracy, Dungeon Chill or Tehsnakerer produce? There are elements of reviewing in there, but also generalized video essay and let's play-isms. Reviewthrough? Longplay ramble? Guided playthrough? In any case, good channels.

Also, Majuular.

The Ironic thing is I am a German but I know zero gaming review channels in German as I never bothered with it I just watched the English once instead besides the Denglish would drive me nuts as there is not really a German channel anyway only Denglish once (Heavy mix of English and German) and it gives mes headache and it sound horrible.
I did watch German lets plays though like this one
It was actually quite good maybe Auto Translate works for you guys.

Hello fellow German here as well.
And yeah, I never watched German reviews much, and was never a huge fan of Gronkh either. GameSack or SnesDrunk also review games occasionally.

And now back to English yeah its mostly that I can't stand the switch up with German and English words its sounds weird and like butchering of the language especially for words where we already have suiting German words for.Call me old fashioned but this is just how I feel.

I get what you mean Denglisch is weird and in this case I go full English it sounds better than this mixup.

i love digial foundry, they have tons of videos on retro games too, but they do like tech updates and new game updates that kinda thing
DF is very cool too. Love the DF Retro episodes by John. PC reviews by Alex are great too especially how he highlights when a PC version is plain shit.

The same in Games when the game is also such abomination of Denglish I just switch to full English instead.

Yup, I do the same. Denglish is used mostly by people who like to sound funny or well sophisticated, it sounds rather dumb though.

And yes Denglish sounds kind of retarded for me it sounds like someone can neither speak English nor German properly ;)

Haha, exactly, in this case it would be preferable if the one who speaks it could just choose one language and not two languages into one and sounds like gibberish :P

I also Watch that one to but probably not for everyone.

I never stick to anyone. I usually don't see reviews of videogames because they are subjective.

The only thing I watch are gameplays of videogames I am interested in. And of course, without any kind of stupid commentaries, I don't want to see any face nor hear any voice that is not the game's audio.

linneman is DF i mean what would they do without him who would care, he's the best gaming journalist i know, their streams are a tad elitist tho kinda annoying and they have a total blindspot on how AAAs today totally stink something which is continuously recognized on their semi-sister-channel my life in gaming

Honestly the bests are "no commentary" playthrough videos so you may judge it for yourself.

Review channels are paid to review or just for popularity and they believe it is what society believe they shit on games "God Hand is worst game ever, official review scores backs me up!!!" lol.

Not to mention naturally a reviewer cannot review the game in ways they would also include what would sell the game to you.

These days reviews mostly consist of if the game is DEI, how much American culture BS they have, if it's sexist, et cetera BS instead of actually analyzing the game itself. For these reasons + reviews are useless to me I just watch playthrough videos and analyze the game myself to form my own opinion.

I still remember the low score by IGN.
A fucking 3 from 10, lol.
Also a lot of reviewers still don't want to see that a lot of newer games have huge technical issues. Best recent example would be MGS Snake Eater Delta. It's very annoying, especially that technical issues can lower your enjoyment in the end with the game.
If I watch a game, no commentary is also important to me, a lot of let's players just babbling shit.

That's exactly what I realized that reviewers are pretty much useless when I tried video game magazines.

They are paid to write by writing within a certain ordered character amount so they extend their BS just to write, and Youtubers are no different. Just because it's popular they just randomly scream or act like they are a character in Indian dramas for over-exaggerated expressions lol. They talk about some aspect of the game that's the most obvious ones like some sexy character, some weird situations, what difference they saw between other games but rest is "let's talk about the day I forgot my dog on train" lol.

And then just because it's popular they focus too much on bugs. For example CyberJunk 2077's day 1 version became a meme for even serious review videos so much the game wasn't that faulty as much as they tried to make it seem like. When you wanna watch how the game actually is but no "let's watch how it rains car or your car launches to the moon for half an hour" lol. Also "let's talk about if Metal Gear Solid Delta respects or insults women" lolol.

In the end if the topic is subjective the best is forming your opinion, listening to someone else is not okay because it's not an objective manner that what you can learn is what everyone would think the same for it's a fact, but video games are mostly a subjective existence. That's why what a reviewer trashed the game for may be what you would love in the game lol.

Agreed. It's a shame how the whole review process changed. Back in the day 90s or late 00s you got the newest magazine with cool reviews in it and very informative stuff. Today you get a lot of stuff which makes me scratching my head and they mention stuff which wouldn't fit really into a review. It's such a damn shame people are so heavily blinded by Metacritic or OpenCritic or review scores in general. Most of the time people don't try the games themselves and just parroting the stuff the reviewer mentioned. Lol, yeah. I hope the reviewer knows that MGS Snake Eater is a game from the 2004. Sometimes I think if you read their stuff, I think it's just a really bad joke. But in the end their dead serious, lol.

New generation people syndrome "I don't wanna read" because they spend too much time on social media reading so they tire their brain + they have no culture to read books because "it's for nerds, that's how American movies says so" makes people only wanna hear binary subjectivity of if a game is good or not, not why and hows. When your message is longer than 1 line their new generation ass believess it's a rant lol. They don't have a brain that able to calculate pros, cons and sums, how opposite duality of life causes a sum of one thing and all so they don't wanna read "detailed" facts, they just wanna read if it's "bad" or "good". If you say it's "good" they will believe it's good, their brain finds a BS to justify why it's supposed to be "good" and this is how some games are popular and people like them mindlessly without questioning if they really like it or not. You may even find people saying "the game is bad because no one likes it" as if they have the mentality of a high school girl who wanna be popular. No wonder because existence of social media distorted what they understand from life so they cannot think about life without not having social media followers and they judge everything according to how popular it's. For example I see so much people bought CyberJunk 2077 due to "everyone in my class watches its anime" despite they don't wanna really play the game ever, they just think "it's cool that there is a game of an anime that was popular in my school" lol.

This is the way reviews are since they are new generation people too. Don't wanna read but wanna listen more and what they wanna listen more to is they screaming mindlessly and make funny faces as if they're entertaining 3 years old kiddos.

You summed it up pretty well.
Today's generation only want to read if stuff is good or bad, so people just look at the end scores and don't read really anything thoroughly. And then we have those whole influencers on TikTok, Instagram and stuff. Also if someone says it's good, they defend it till their life. It's almost hilarious you see that with company warriors. Companies only want your money, it's always hilarious when people defend their most favourite company. But as you see, the whole influence shit worked on them magically.
It's a shame people still behaving like in a school class even if their adults. If you don't like thing, you're dumb and stupid and why you don't like thing?, lol.
Yeah. Cyberpunk 2077 gained popularity because reasons, because it was made by CDProject of Witcher fame, before that people didn't care about shit. And with the Anime people went more into, totally cool. Game must be also cool, but I don't understand shit. Screaming is fricking annoying. But it works every time and time. The internet mobs works similar.

I also Watch that one to but probably not for everyone.
Lol you think that's a niche audience?

This guy is unhinged and i love every second of it.
