I'm looking for a good digital card game to play. The last one I played was Elder Scrolls Legends and that was pretty fun.

Lost Kingdoms 1 and 2, Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution, and you're really feeling like a hot shot, try your luck at Go Fish against Mario!

For me, its definitely Legends of Runeterra. Its almost entirely PvE

If you like Yu-Gi-Oh! and you have a DS laying around, I strongly recommend Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2011: Over the Nexus, which is crazy good in short burst and provides a good sense of progression by unlocking cards from real life packs;

I also really liked Marvel Trading Card Game on PSP, which is based on the old version of Vs. System and, if I remember correctly, had cross-play with the PC version, crazily enough.

Maybe it'll be a hot take, but I kinda enjoyed Duel Masters: Cobalt on PS2, even though the character designs are atrocious and the game is dead silent without music.

And, technically... could Bakugan be considered as a Digital Card Game?

If you want something more focused in solo play I recently 100%d Inscryption and it was pretty fun. Dicey Dungeons is another roguelite deckbuilder game I enjoyed. For more traditional ones I'd also second YGO2011 Into the Nexus, as it had quite a bit of content.

For more PvP aimed games I'd recommend Master Duel, as I find Konami's approach fairly accessible when it comes to deckbuilding, although the game itself is definitely not beginner friendly.

This, but it's for psp:

If you want a free game try "Gems of War" (for many consoles, pc and phone), you link colors to fight and your troops/weapons are shown as cards in the menu. It's also "free" for real, you can do lots of things daily (no limits) and you can go on without spending anything - of course you CAN spend if you want, but I would not define it "pay to win".

If you want to play single player/offline, there is the wonderful Magic The Gathering published by MicroProse in 1997. To this day it's the most engaging and fun single player experience I've ever seen for card games.
It's VERY different from Magic Arena because the mechanics are pretty simple since it's based on the humble beginings of MtG (4th edition, it was kind of new at the time). The opponent AI is somewhat lacking and it can be slow at the start, but it's a semi-open world that IMO must be experienced by any card game fan. I suggest you read the manual, it helps in picking up the pace at the start.

"On the internetz" ou can find an updated version that runs on modern Windows, has the official expansions built-in (more oldschool cards!) and improves the AI a little.

I love Necronomicon 2.
It's a simple and addictive flash game based on Lovecraft's work.

I can second this recommendation. it's a bit challenging but it's basically a full on fantasy RPG where the combat is represented by MTG games, but it also uses pretty old rules so if you're already familiar with the modern game, prepare to be confused occasionally lmao.

Legends of Runeterra all the way.

I haven't seen anyone mention Baten Kaitos yet so I'll throw it in. Really interesting game with a bunch of unique mechanics. Also very pretty.

Culdcept, Culdcept II + Expansion on Sega Saturn, PlayStation, Dreamcast, PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DS. I would suggest the PS2 version since it was localized to the West and is playable in English. And more recently the NDS version which had a fan-translated patch as well. I spent some good hours playing this, unlocking cards and had fun versus matches.

Digimon Digital Card Battle on PlayStation. I remember renting this game several times growing up as a kid. The versus mode drew me back playing with my friends back in the day. Although I haven't played it in years.

SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters' Clash, SNK version + Capcom version on Neo Geo Pocket, Neo Geo Pocket Color. Another competitive digital card game worth a play through especially if your a fan of developers Capcom, and/or SNK. I haven't played much of SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters DS on Nintendo DS to recommend, although I do remember reading about it having a game breaking glitch.

I used to to play a Monster Rancher game on the PSX, just like the main games you could use an actual PSX disk to get better cards

If you don't mind it being a bit old and not following the traditional rules of the game, Yu-gi-oh: Forbidden Memories is great for PS1.
