I always liked this one.
 
I love the American SNES for one simple reason: it's BOLD.

Whereas the MegaDrive was an exquisite mix of glossy blacks, deep reds and elegant whites, Nintendo just built a grey shoebox with clashing purple buttons... and it stood out all the same! You wouldn't miss either on a shelf, and that's also proof of a design well implemented (regardless of how awkward).
