Been working on a banner for my static site, seeking for constructive feedback

I struggle a lot with most things creative-related cus not a very visual person + cursed with multiple neurodivergences. So, please, be nice when pointing out mistakes (but don't feel ashamed for doing so, I need confrontation or I won't make much progress).

Yet, I want it to stay something with the hobbyist vibes, since it's a small thing just for funsies. The website is intended to work as an extension to RGT, for me to post mostly practical/useful stuff like walkthroughs or general guides, my backlog, etc... as well as to provide a backup of contributions already made to the forums. Doing this on my spare time, so idk when it's going to be fully a thing cus also many other hobbies.

I'm using canva to create a multi-layered collage with the assets provided by the application itself, so no AI was used to the extent of what it's possible to know (can't be sure if all assets are AI-free). Here's the thing exported to video format, I've yet to turn it into a gif or something.

I think it looks really cool. And hey, if there is an AI asset in it, it's not like you knowingly put it in there, so I wouldn't worry too much.

As a “DESIGNER” XD, I found the concept really interesting... I won’t say it’s something I would personally do for the suggested idea, but it’s REALLY GOOD, and not just “good” in my eyes :) keep it up! (I’m terrible at giving suggestions or feedback, but I try :,v) Maybe try adding some colors that match the forum more or something like that (or not), just dumb guesses from a dumb person lol noob

Mhm, I sure like this idea! Earlier today I was thinking abt on how to improve the contrast of the site/the banner and this relates to the color scheme. Gonna try to find the right balance not to suggest that this project is tied to RGT, but that this is more like a fan project - so I can preserve its own identity too. Thanks for the advice, I'm really going to explore stuff around that.

Thanks for the comment, pal! Yes, at first I thought abt doing something with the vibes but still not satisfied with the outcome mostly cus of the contrast thing... I'm considering redoing the collage with kbecinha's advice in mind, so we'll see which concepts stay and which ones go away.

Oh, this is a completely random play with the expression "family computer", so I get to use the acronym "famicom" at some point lmao... It also says something abt my love for the system and its games, since I grew up on famiclones and bootlegs! ♡

But yk, you just gave me very necessary insight by asking abt that. I guess some lore is going to be displayed in the site's about section. Still gotta write things down.

It looks good, but maybe needs a little bit of visual noise. A mild crackle or screen wobble (even just a grainier filter), but nothing too drastic. You've already got all the correct colours and shapes, they just seem a little flat at present.

Just to illustrate what I mean, here's a music video that employs these techniques.
