Obligatory Battlestations thread!
Showcase your setup!

This is my current setup. I bought a Pacific CRTV with a Mega Drive 2 about a year ago. The Virtuoso desk is more suited towards modern PC gaming - which isn't ideal, but it's the best I could find. I have a fat PS2 model which I plan on modding soon to play burned games. The Mortal Kombat Arcade 1Up game setup has around 2,000 MAME games installed, including the NES library and some SNES/MegaDrive titles. Below the arcade cabinet are my Homebrew Modded Wii and my old PC. The posters are of Fyodor Dostoevsky (19th-century Russian novelist), a cult-followed John Woo film called Hard Boiled and the wider one to the left is the cover of the Japanese jazz-fusion album, Noriki - Dream Cruise (1986). All of these are bought off of Redbubble if you're curious or wish to buy for yourself. :>

My shelf has around 200 games mainly from the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 4. Above it is a 1996-97 season 9-in-a-row Glasgow Rangers FC shirt signed by the squad. I have a larger bookshelf filled with Wii, Original Xbox, Xbox 360 and Mega Drive games. It's not the most lavish setup but it works for me and I am proud of it. I have been buying games since I was a little kid. 98% are from carboot sales or charity shops in my local area. The only exceptions are the Half Life port for the PS2 and Rayman for the PS1 which I bought off eBay.

Any improvement tips and recommendations are welcomed! :D

Lookin' mighty fine! No love for Sega, I see ::winkfelix

On another note, how's that Logitech controller working out for you? I have the same model and I don't like the ergonomics of it so I don't use it often. The way my middle fingers naturally rest against the back of the pitifully small triggers makes my hands hurt after an hour or two of playing.

I do, I just have not found myself stumbling on a deal for a Gens, I want the 3 piece, the 32X and the CD. A saturn and dreamcast would be cool but are honestly low priority.

Honestly, I think its the second best controller ever made. Nothing beats the ps2 for me (I should get a ps2 - usb adapter.)

I have been using the same model of logitech controller since college in 2004. I have been through about 10 of them. if you drop them, the triggers bumpers are easy to break.

No disrespect, im a smaller human, I do not have bear mittens so it feels natural to me. The Duke controller was uncomfortable for me if I remember because it was too big.

There is no love for Xbox in this house and there never will be. <3

You have all the essentials for a great weekend, I have the same switcher box for my component cables, works great. Your setup would rock with a CRT, see if you can find one laying around.

What is your go-to?? What is your favorite?

There is something positive to be said about the prudence of minimalism. <3

What have you been gaming on?
Thank you! It's Miyoo Mini Plus, great device, still have an Anbernic in my drawers, but Miyoo completely replaced it.

is this your pc on the crt?
yes, the PC is running Batocera Linux. (long story short) I have it putting out an analog signal then converting it to S-video. This allows me to play most things in their native resolution for maximum retro vibing.

The Pc is quite powerful and can emulate up to Swatch or 360 with few issues. I use Steam on it but most of the time im messing around with random arcade games and SNK fighting games online with Retroarch Netplay.

I also use it to run higher end graphics games (shadow of war) and steamlink it to my desktop (laptop with a dock) PC so i have mouse and keys.

I love my total setup, teenage me would not have believed most of this was possible let alone i would have it. <3

can you show me what type of adapter your using?

I use a separate laptop for surfing the web while I'm drawing on my CRT monitor.
(excuse the mess, my room's a little dirty and I didn't have time to clean it!)

Thank you, I really love it simple. As for the games, I've been playing games that are from 8 bits up to 32 bits console on an emulator (since that's how far my laptop could handle)

Here ya go pal, This thing kinda melted and got sticky, poor quality plastic but it does the job nice.

Right now i would say finished, but i might upgrade to a pi 5. Or a pc maybe but who knows, I just want to play some classic arcades hehe

I still haven’t setup my lighting for the room, but it’s finally done (with the exception of the Ti99/4a & Commodore 64 but those are able to be dropped in pretty easily once they’re done being serviced.)

I have over 60 consoles hooked up & ready to play between 5 screens, & ready for capture or streaming. All of the retro consoles are either outputting at RGB or S-Video quality, including consolized versions of the 3DS & Virtual Boy.

The screens are a 27” JVC AV-27230, 48" Sony Class BRAVIA XR A90K OLED 4K UHD Monitor, Sony PVM 20L5, Sony PVM 14L5, & a Sony PVM 8041Q in the PC area. There’s also a Mini Console/Emulation setup in the back of the room that’s setup with a Samsung SlimFit TV TX-S3082WH.

Lay it on me y’all—what are you working with? Share with me your thoughts or questions? Fire, fire, FIRE away er’body!

Everytime I see pictures like these I only wonder how much headache is to clean the dust. 95% of my stuff is inside closets and the room is closed 29 out of 30 days per month. I clean it once every 3 months, even when there is little dust, because my OCD can't let me live if I know there is dust in it. I placed all the stuff the best way to avoid dust and to be easy to clean it, I don't care anything is visible.

Having everything open air plus staying there all the time should gather a critical amout of dust in just a week. I can't stand the dust, so I couldn't have it that way even if I wanted.

I’m definitely looking at some quality air purifiers/indoor plants to mitigate that issue, so I’ll be sure to reply back on how well that worked once I settle on something.
