Bastards who steal your shit in video games

If I remember correctly, in "Dragon's Crown" there's a thief who steals from you sometimes.

They hit very hard and can take all the money you have on you if you're not prepared

Only kinda related, but it's the first thing that came to mind:

I hated how MGSV practically forced the online mode on you. If you ever wanted to earn enough resources for the best equipment, or get the highest-ranked staff for Mother Base, you had to do the repetitive-as-efff FOB missions.

Sure, some you could do against the computer. But the game encouraged "invading" other player's bases, and stealing their resources and staff, instead. Have a lot of resources piled up at your base? Have a decent number of S++ ranked staff? Welp, don't be surprised if the next time you boot up the game... POOF!! GONE!!

I don't play games for PvP. Especially not single-player narrative-driven games like Metal Gear Solid. It gave me such anxiety every time I booted up the game. Even went offline for a while, but the Xbox I played on always tried to connect online by default. On one of the few occasions where I forgot to disable this, yep, I booted up the game to find a massive pile of resources and high-ranking staff missing.

How I wish it were just the in-game enemies that I had to worry about...

Konami's BS, not so much Kojima's.

This shit right here who steals your chaos emeralds at the very beginning of Sonic 3 and makes the game "it seems like a fun game" to "what a disappointment" moment in like 5 seconds lolol.

Played the game for a long time without any hope that I can actually get the emeralds back because he stole it as a story event but these emeralds are not given to you via a story event. After finishing the game for it but not having the emeralds back I thought it was just "story shit", only after a long time I randomly saw Super Saiyan Sonic transformation way beyond the beginning of the game and I thought it is a game hack, but it revealed there was a way to get the emeralds back, and I was like trying to find glitches or something to skip the story trigger that this shit steals the emeralds lol.

Yeah, I played MGS V entirely offline. The online stuff really didn't sound fun to me ::sailor-embarrassed

I'm not sure if they count since it's eating and not stealing, but Like Likes in Zelda.
I remember those little bastards. Somehow the one memory to stick out for me from Zelda.

Just pray this guy doesn't steal Angelic Rifle.

All four of these are celebrity cameos btw. They’re all real life comedians, I’m serious. Hence their dialogue.
I know the franchise has a history with cameos, but I didn't know that they were also cameos

Keep an eye. There’s a celebrity cameo at your eye’s corner, watch your back also cuz even your friends or family could be a celeb cameo. Trust no one.

Hahaha, I looked up the cast before starting JSRF and thought Clutch was the coolest character design. Couldn't wait to play as him. If only I'd known how much of a little shit he'd end up being. :loldog
Well, I believe Clutch is one of the best characters in the game tho! And he joins your crew after you caught him as well, so at least you won't have to worry about missing him during your adventure xD
