Sorry gramar and quality may suffer I had a Idea and write this on my slow phone.

I thought we get many remakes but only of good games with results that are iften debated and heated but making a good just good again is a bit of a waste in my opinion.

What I thought would be more Interesting is when a game that a good concept/ideas but the game itself was terrible/bad if they would remake those and make the game actually good

as only few would complain of the butchering of those games and it would be nice giving such games another try.

Sadly unlikely as they are not Cash cows they can milk, but are there any games that are bad but you liked the concept story or something else about that you think it would be great to give it a new try improe upon it ans make it good that you see as wasted in its current state..so only bad or considered bad games on here please..

For me is Clock Tower 2 and 3 although I love two I wish is more of supernatural than a science horror which quite shame because I like Alyssa and Bates and their mystery.

Slow Net sadly know this to well
Also Clock yes they should remake those good concepts but em archaic even for back then when I remember rigth..not sure though anymore its been a since I saw the game.

only game I want a remake of which is not bad but it has not aged well Dark colony..... but it will never happen.

Why it will never happen is well the devlopers where Alternative Reality Technologies which today is Rockstar Toronto and the only thing does TWATS care about today is GTA.

They would not touch a RTS game even if their life depended on it.

Personally I would Peak Persona 1, and SMT1, I beat both games and I must say, even tough they're very dated by today standards they both touch on some very interesting topics that are worth exploring to this day, so giving them a coat of fresh paint would help a lot with that.

Well, these aren't entirely awful or bad games but have some very archaic design:

Megaman Legends could massively benefit from a better control system/combat.

The original Killzone could be remade, it isn't so good to play nowadays. (Tried the HD version recently)

CT3 is SO campy, I think modern horror audiences who seem to embrace that sort of vibe would LOVE that game if it was given a proper update

I don't really like using the word remade because I'm not a fan of developers like Bluepoint. It would be nice to see Trespasser finally finished, or handled by a studio that actually respects the product and wants to make a decent iteration for modern systems. I know there's a new JP game coming out but I don't have much interest in it.

Good games do not need a remaster or remake, just their resolutions & framerates unlocked (And add UI Scaling)
It's the flawed games that require remastering/remaking, especially the unfinished games with features locked away in order to have the same in a shippable condition come EA's or Activision's deadline.

Give me a remake of Might and Magic IX or Ultima IX: Ascension
(Or for Ultima let us play the isometric 3D version EA scrapped as they demanded the whole thing be reworked into a third person RPG)

I finished Final Fantasy 2 fairly recently. I don't think it's a bad game but I'd like to see it get a remake in the same style as the DS remake of SaGa 3 or the ps2 remake of Romancing SaGa 1 or the recent remake of Romancing SaGa 2. Basically improve the graphics, flesh out and expand the story and overhaul and update the mechanics to include the balance fixes the SaGa series introduced to the stat growth system and adding the weapon ability sparking system to improve combat a bit. Other than Unlimited SaGa it's pretty much the only Kawazu game that hasn't gotten a proper remaster or remake. The Pixel Remasters are decent but they're kind of lackluster compared to the SaGa remakes and remasters.

The first TMNT NES game. Fix the difficulty, add new colors, tweak the gameplay, make it into a MetroidVania for all I care, use the 1987 version of the Turtles since the game was loosely based on, and there we go!

you just don't want them to remove the tits pov
Asuming that this is the only reason what is so wrong not wanting them removed, remaking good games is for me a waste just port them and remake bad games that actually need improvement, there are many many great gaming concepts wasted at broken and bad games.

Also was Code Veronica really that bad ? For me I have a Idea the Smarties game on the Ps2 coolconcept awful game same with the shuffle ware Ninjabread man.

So this DOES happen. A game from ds called Lock's quest got a remake which the trailer admit is wasn't a good game....sadly that trailer was removed and changed for obvious reasons. ^_^ was still funny though.

Spawn: The Eternal
Johnny Bazookatone
Yusha: Heaven's Gate
Savage Warriors

Fix the problem(s) in these games first::angel

Left Alive. I know its not that old but when I was reading about it I thought it could have been a great game. Go back and try again SE, or something.

Devil's Third. While I don't think it's a bad game, plenty of people did. It's one of the few games stuck on the Wii U that deserves to get ported somewhere. Especially since it's Itagaki's final game before his unfortunate death.

Also Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.

I'd be down for a few things but the ones on my mind right now would be probably Final Fight Streetwise and Brigade E5.

Streetwise is probably the more complicated one since I could do with either a commitment to the original vision or trying to make the final release's tone and style work. Nostalgia for 6th/7th gen is already pretty high and I think revisiting the time period through a game that tried and failed to be "cool" could serve as an interesting jumping off point for a deeper discussion or exploration of what things were really like back then. It is also criminal that Final Fight fans just haven't gotten anything from Capcom in terms of a sequel.

Brigade E5 I think is a fascinating system with a lot of cool mechanics that would do really well today on account of how smooth the moment to moment gameplay is. It is bogged down by the tedious travel between areas as well as repetitive maps hindering an otherwise fun game. If I'm being real though, I would just want the ability to use its base gameplay for multiplayer like YOMI Hustle. I know the game has a multiplayer component but I can't say I've tried too hard to play it.
