I 100% get you but we all start somewhere!
we all starts from somewhereWish I could but my shitty drawing just makes ne angry and I lose all intrest.
Building up the tolerance against that frustrated feeling of not matching others requires you to...well...just draw. There is no need to show us what you've done!Wish I could but my shitty drawing just makes ne angry and I lose all intrest.

I want to kiss his abswe all starts from somewhere

this is pretty much where i started.
i just kept on drawing and enjoying the process.
think of it like a replayable game, the more you play the game the more you keep getting better and better, it can get infuriating at times so use that feeling into what you draw
it can be anything, an object, a person, even a scenery.
expression of emotion is part of art. how one draws reflects one's emotional state, giving meaning to one's art.
that sounds pretentious tbh but that what my art teacher told me in high school. LOL
just keep drawing until you reach peak performance.

Yep always strive to be better than yesterday's self. Never give up and always draw even if its just 10 seconds of the day, you'll improve in no time.Building up the tolerance against that frustrated feeling of not matching others requires you to...well...just draw. Can't tell what style you're trying to get better at, if its western standards then you'll have to go the Andrew Loomis way. This is a good starting vid I used. You can find the rest through yarrharrharrharr methods.
Hmm, this message prompted me to take a look at my study sketches again. Thought i'd hate them but I ended up going "huh I managed to do that?" Be kind to yourself and give it another shot.

I think you are expecting immediate growth when you should focus on drawing what you want even if its crudely drawn. Shouldnt beat yourself up cause you dont see growth even in a decades time. The passion of drawing is a path of discipline and learning. If you suffer on what aspect try to find an alternative.I wanna be able to draw anime. But even whih art class even with several how to draw manage books. My shitty level om drawing is still stick figures and fake 3d square boxes. Nothing has improved for 30 years even with damn classes and how to books.
If nothing improves we'll then it means I will never be able to draw ever. Because normally skills should improve even a little but it has never done so for me ever.
I often struggle with the same feelings, not just on art but general, and that has a really huge impact on my self-esteem. Yet I still try and practice, even if I don't see heavy improvements quickly, because I think that if I quit now, I'll regret later.30 year with 0 growth is not what I would call immediate hehe. I just feel that with art class and how to books and drawing allot I should have improved even a little but nothing I'm as as when I started like I'm stuck at level 0 even after getting 5mill exp. It like the exp I got just vanished in to thin air.

Just wanna throw in my two cents & say we're all basically still on that journey.I wanna be able to draw anime. But even whih art class even with several how to draw manage books. The heck? These stuff are cute as hell. That first pic is great with how playful it is. Did you ever dabble with pixel art before or kinda first time?Been exploring pixel art more at request of my Mom

For context their Japanese/coturnix quail, she asked me to make pixel art of them for her to make into textiles (pillows, or quilts in this case).
I’ve dabbled with it before, mostly editing, growing up I was really into rpg maker. The heck? These stuff are cute as hell. That first pic is great with how playful it is. Did you ever dabble with pixel art before or kinda first time?

Honestly I don't know if the first picture is intentional, but I really love how at first I thought it was an island in the shape of a bird, but after 2 second it doubled it up as a picture of a bird that's very adorable (´ ω `♡)Been exploring pixel art more at request of my Mom

Yup I did a resketch of the resketch, I noticed I like the aggressive tilt of the original and decided to double down on itit's so crazy how refining a sketch can result in an almost completely new sketch

Although I'm calling it. It will be even more different when I do Lineart
Whoa! So cute!!!!!! That angle and hair looks super cool!Honestly I don't know if the first picture is intentional, but I really love how at first I thought it was an island in the shape of a bird, but after 2 second it doubled it up as a picture of a bird that's very adorable (´ ω `♡)

Aaand lineart thankfully I noticed that her bangs were not tilted with the rest of her head so I tried to fix that before moving to color

and speaking of colors this is the flats step, and man I really really hate this step because true to it's name it makes the Drawing look flat af it totally destroys the vision I had before coloring in the Lineart step, but I know myself have fought this battle again and again and I will manage to win in the end

Yea there are artists who actually have a flat coloring style like literally just base colors without even shadows or highlights, for me I want to find a middle ground where it's not too detailed and not too simpleWhoa! So cute!!!!!! That angle and hair looks super cool!
I didn't think it would bother people when making the base colors. Plenty of people would stop at that point, but for me I just can't. I love rendering with the airbrush and other tools. I would stop at just using 3 types of colors with no blending or mixing them, but my brain wants too!![]()
For skin i always had a palette set custom for it. Same with types of pinks and browns.Yea there are artists who actually have a flat coloring style like literally just base colors without even shadows or highlights, for me I want to find a middle ground where it's not too detailed and not too simple
but maaan even picking the base colors themselves is a challenge for me because I have learned that colors are relative so when I place a color by itself it looks good but once I add more colors suddenly the previous color that I thought looked good start to read differently from what I thought in the start
Damn you Color Theory! ヾ( `ー´)シφ__
I tend to lean towards warm purples for my shadows, an usually yellow leaning for highlights (if that makes sense) . In the end it comes down to vibes for me thoughYea there are artists who actually have a flat coloring style like literally just base colors without even shadows or highlights, for me I want to find a middle ground where it's not too detailed and not too simple

It helps me to make a mini palette on the side with all my colours side by side, paired with their shadows and highlights
