thanks. that's the second quartz badge that i've gotten. i don't remember getting the first one, but i'll take a look later and see what other pic was good enough to get one as well.

i did some checking. i got my first quartz badge back in october of last year, but i have no idea why. i got it during a 2 week period of no uploads. i guess someone just really liked my art.

Thanks! I dont know much about him but the friend who requested him also thinks hes great too. I was very into Pokémon during the red/blue gold/silver days. I also played Legends Arceus on Switch and liked it a lot. I think more like that could bring me back to the series.

If you enjoy the old days of Pokemon, Black and White is more of that speed. Its more in line with "return to form" in terms of pokemon availability. I liked how GameFreak went with BW by making you only catch new pokemon until the story is done. It brings me back to RBGY with what available pokemon you can get. I dont know much about pokemon past gen 5 but i head Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are decent.

Eventually I want to get one of the newer ones on Switch or maybe Switch 2. All the character customization and stuff looks fun. I just wish the game had a hard mode with difficulty similar to Atlus rpgs. Either way seems like a good game to play with friends and trade pokemon and stuff

Thanks! I should focus on making new stuff. Havent made anything new yet in 2025. I like the Shenmue community they are super supportive I might start there.

Yeah I started with watercolor pencils for the sketch using light blue. Then did some shading with pencils and then filled in some colors using regular watercolor paint from tubes. After it dried I did some more lines and details with the pencils. I have no idea what Im doing with traditional tools and just kinda made it up as I went

Well, it turned out pretty good for not knowing anything about traditional mediums. My first attempts with watercolor weren't the greatest. I like watercolor for landscapes and less detailed paintings. Anything with a lot of detail is a pain in the ass.

Yeah it sounds really difficult to control and get what you want. One day I want to practice more I got books and stuff but my cats put an end to that and I went back to digital. Still its nice to let the medium do its own magic its a nice break from digital where everything is controlled.
