also love putting the heaviest heavyweight generator in a lightweight AC and flying circles around the originals Ai they really stupid

The best thing about early armored core games is parts sell for the same amount to buy. And anything you sell goes back in the shop and can be re-bought for what you sold it for. So you can't lose money from buying parts only from damage and ammunition in missions. Although some of the best parts are hidden in missions. So don't be afraid to constantly buy and sell in the shop. It's a really fun design once you release money is just the limit of what the shop will let you have at once and not something you need to carefully save and spend.
