Armored core like movies

Name some movies that are like Armored core, with the Mechs (ROBOTS) requiring upgrades and have some focus on the pilot.

I will get the ball rolling with ROBOT JOX! a film from the late 80s that is based in a post apolitical world that have people fighting in robots for profit!

Nu nu nu, there has to be some focus on upgrades, cannot just be a robot in the movie.

Re ROBOT JOX, i would say this is the most focus on upgrades, and in fact there is a spider leg upgrade just like in Armored Core!

Watched this many times back in the day, and did not even clock on to this till recently. Going to watch this again this week, and i was hoping others can make recommendations if they have come across anything.

Getting Mecha hyped! And this can also help others who might be looking for the same ^^

Love the effort, as this does indeed focus on the parts and upgrades, i would have loved to see sky scrapper bots though. i will still take it!
