Switch Are you buying the switch 2?

I was able to get one at Walmart. I purchased the standalone system since I didn't want a digital version of MK World. I ordered MK World, TLoZ: BotW and TotK, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Fast Fusion from Best Buy which will get me $40 back in Rewards.

Yes, I have a plan to getting it. Save up money from now. I don't mind price, since I understand that with current situation right now, and I really want it to play Switch game better and to play some other ports like Cyberpunk and FF VII Remake on the go.

Yes. I do not like the game key card idea and will buy physical as long as I can. I really am buying it to play the 20+ switch games I have. The switch lite is a little small.

Definitely will not buy it. Even if they walk the prices back (which they won't) then I still won't buy it. Too much greed in a time where the economy is in the dumpster right now.

From what we've seen so far from the big reveal, With tons of games getting announced to new features of the device, there were some dealbreakers for most of us, pricing, features, capabilities and more

are you gonna buy it still ? If no, what's your Dealbreaker, and what's one thing Nintendo can do to win you over ?

No, I think I'll pass this time not because of the prices simply because I don't need the console.

no. amusingly, the last video game console i purchased was the nintendo wii u in 2012 when it came out. i did not enjoy it all that much and have not purchased a game console sense. since. sens fortress

would rather invest in an emulation handheld or my retro collection than nintendo's next cash cow. I do not agree with their business practices of late, nor do i like their shift from "we want our system in every home" to "only the homes with enough money". only way id get it is second hand

Microsoft would've done it regardless. It's not just one company leading others directly.

Or else Sony would've been the first in that regard.

see i wont, because i do not have $500 plus $80 per game. if i had the money, i dont think i would buy the switch 2 honestly, probably stay with the first switch. the prices are just so absurd that it feels not worth it. also i dont find the switch 2 to be all that different, just magnetic joycons and c button

About that point I'd argue that making things different for the sake of being different is not always the best for a new hardware.

I don't care about the C button at all and the mouse mode may be the only new feature that interests me so far but in the same case I'm fine with what is basically the same console with more power and an XL format over what Nintendo did with the Wii U and its gimmicky tablet gamepad.

Like someone wise said: "being unique doesn't make you necessarily better".

oh yeah there was the mouse mod thingy right. i forgot honestly, even that felt preettty useless to me (or rather i would not use the feature, to be correct). but yes i agree that the same console with bigger screen and more powerful specs is indeed a great thing. i do enjoy the bigger screen but i kinda miss when nintendo actually made handhelds that were more of a better fit. i find the DS to be the peak of handheld in Nintendo grounds honestly.

People simply prefers bigger screens, that's why the PSP had a bigger and wider one.

The DS compensated its smaller size with having two. I liked the Lite's proportions (except that the button to turn it on was on the side which may accidentally make people turning it off). The Tank is a bit ugly with too small screens imo.

The DSi is also good but unfortunately you'll sacrifice the GBA port (and autonomy).

I expect the S2 to have a Lite version but I also wish it could be plugged to a TV...

I'd argue that the "remaster"'s quality isn't that great and to be honest Oblivion has an enormous amount of jank compared to what BotW (and TotK by extent) had to offer. I mean sure, one was made a decade before but still.
While I don't care for the Oblivion remaster, an 8-year-old upres/60fps port for $70 should include the DLC. Every other publisher does this with GOTY and Complete Editions.

Even though I have the money, it still pains me to spend $800+ on the system and games. That said, since it's Nintendo and given the current state of hardware pricing, this is the best it's going to get, and that sucks.

I do agree (as much as the DLCs themselves weren't that great imo).

I hope that they'd fix some of the most known glitches as well but I don't have high expectations.

I actually never played the DLC for BotW. I was going to import that version with the content on the cart but never did.

Thank you Nintendo! Very cool! The Floodgates are open!

Now I wish for a 2nd Video game crash ::badpc

Not until the price goes down substantially, which is unlike to happen given certain global economic events.

Besides price I just can't justify buying a new console when I have such a large and rich backlog of video games across Steam, Xbox, Switch, and even my 3ds.

Fortunately the coming times that requires belt-tightening (wallet-wise) coincides with my discovery of these forums and website, something I'm thankful for.
