Castlevania, No More Heroes, Final Fantasy, Baldur's Gate. I'm currently at the very beginning of Metal Gear Solid series - halfway through the first MGS game.

I wouldn't recommend, even though Persona 2 is in my opinion the best Persona game it is definitely not for new players.

boku no natsuyasumi for me. i saw a video on it on youtube a few days ago and got interested, but there seems to be no english patch so i'm still on the fence about it..

My favorite is 2, so I look forward to you playing that one! And 3 is even more beloved than 2 is, so that’s one to look forward to!

Either or. Redux is mostly the same but a lot of the original endings were omitted, but also it has extra content. DS takes up less storage though, has the original endings and is still an all around good time though

I'm actually interested in the first game as well. I heard that someone was working on an English patch for it but I'm not certain how far that has gone.

Someone's been working on an English translation of the PSP version for a while now. There are no plans AFAIK of translating 3 and 4. I'd be more interested in a translation of Bokura no Kazoku tbh.

SaGa is... an experience. Haha. I'd suggest the remakes if you are going to experience the original trilogy:
SaGa 1 on the Wonderswan Color, SaGa 2 and 3 on the DS.

Romancing Saga is... another can of worms.
