Not sure how true this is, saw it on another forum, but...
Rest in peace, FireWire.
You were a good way to get music onto my Mom's iPod (I've never used FireWire btw, I just found this interesting tbh).

i read that as firewall at first. like apple is just thinking "you're on your own kiddos"

I have never used it, but I remember some guy naming himself after it on Zoey 101 — that was my introduction to it (and a funny one at that, too) xD

RIP, FW.

I still use a bunch of FW, but I also keep older Macbooks around for that sort of thing, so...

screw Apple for the greedy MFs they are
they were the ones who pressured Adobe to kill off Flash
Apple didn't opt out of supporting flash on the iPhone because of greed. It was Flash's critical security vulnerabilities, poor performance, requiring a proprietary third-party plugin to function, unnecessary battery drain, and the fact that the vastly superior and open HTML5 allowed developers to make cool stuff without relying on an external, closed plugin.

Apple has done a lot of stupid, greedy stuff (and seems to only be moving further in that direction), but not supporting Flash was not one of them.
