My most recent console is Switch, so I'll say "Final Fantasy Resonance", I may give it a try even if I have a big backlog on 3ds/ds/vita/psp.

I'm also pretty excited about that, seeing as it's a remake of Brave Exvius, which I never got to play. The new Xenoblade game is also pretty cool to see.

Not sure If it counts anymore but the Endless Ragnarok expansion for Granblue Relink. The 1.0 version of Palworld is also something I'm looking forward to. I'm thinking about replaying that game when it comes out. The remake for Touhou 6 is also something I'm waiting on but does that count? The closest game that I can think of that isn't a remake would be a new Etrian Odyssey game that was teased some years ago now. I wonder how that's going?

I don't have a problem with newer games, I just don't like how a lot of them feel incomplete for the first few months. Not all of them are like that but I usually look at gameplay of a game i'm interested in first for that reason. I ususally play single player games because I often find myself on a shitty connection or none at all. That ends up limiting what games I can play at the moment.

If I could play lots of games and buying lots of new consoles I think I would be curious to try most modern titles (of course not all of them, just what I feel interested in) for ps4/ps5/various xbox that I don't know the exact name of/Switch2.
Being the Switch my most modern console, I'm looking forward "Final Fantasy Resonance", not because it's like a revival of old ffs but because it's a new FF game.
I'm also looking forward "Digimon Time Stranger" on Switch but I must still decide (playing the demo right now).
