Anyone else have a rival that shows up at random times in their life to challenge and mock them?

Nah. When I was younger, I'd have some kind of workplace nemesis depending on the job, but those things were usually short-lived and wouldn't really rate as a rival. Around the time I turned 30 or so, I realized that life is too short to spend your energy on that kind of stuff. Just do cool stuff and be nice to people, it really isn't hard.

Of course I've been challenged by Shauna, can't you see that I'm about to start this Pokemon battle? I swear that she shows up at the worst possible times to challenge me, specially when I'm looking for shiny Pokemon! ?

Alright, in all seriousness to stay on topic of the forum here and to answer this forum's question, no, I've never have had a rival that shows up at any random time in my life to challenge me to whatever it may be.

I'm a slient bob type, if a facial expression or a gesture can work I prefer to not make a sound and I can never keep a conversation up unless I'm genuenly interested, and pretty much anywhere I ever frequent I eventually without failure attract the resident chatterbox who just. won't. stop. yapping. and has this incredibale talent of never saying anything of any interest or import to anyone. Best case scenario - some time wasted, worse case - something I was trying to do at the time completely sabotaged. My usual tactic is early detection and evasive maneuvers, but I'm afraid as I get older I'll be forced at some point to learn and employ the ancient martial art of stfu.

Where's that DAMN Mega Man?!

But seriously, no.

Only in Street Fighter. You ever say "Nah, run that back" for 4 or 5 hours on a Thanksgiving? Well, that's what we kept doing...

I had a fighting game (mainly Street Fighter) rival when I lived in a dorm. By the end we were so even that every match one of us won, the other won the next. He mostly played Akuma and I usually played Balrog or Ryu.

Good times. I miss that guy a lot.
