Anyone else have a rival that shows up at random times in their life to challenge and mock them?

Was at the grocery store the other day and I bumped into Gary, my nemesis, my adversary, my opponent and most vile foe, my enemy.

He challenges me to a battle right then and there. I tell him I can't, I'm holding 2 big bags of flour. He says "you've always been a little flower boy." And then he walked out the store through the entrance, I'm guessing he couldn't read that sign either.

???

I don't have a rival, and i don't think i'd want one. If someone declares themselves my rival the only challenges i'll accept are staring and thumbwars. He'll lose interest very very fast.

I suppose the next option would be to tell him i'll meet him at the back of the store to meet his challenge, and then never show up.

I, more so that people, encounter ideas or concepts or behaviors that run antithesis to what I feel are solid values, behaviors ,etc.

I consider those my nemesis. ?

I'm confused? What do you mean?

Not consistently, but a handful for a while at various jobs. Half the time it turned into a will they/won’t they romance though, and that made it fun. Especially the “they will” scenarios.

An example (a silly one, anyways) would be like.... ?

'People who drive on the freeway and leave their blinkers on and continually drive down the road.'
They've either already made a lane change or simply accidentally hit the lever.
Now, i see this a lot. And, of course, it's never the same person, lol. The odds are astronomical, right?
But to me, it's a sort of endemic antagonistic behavior or instance that challenges me (and more-so my patience, lol).

So not just that. But other things as well. But does that make a little more sense?

I understand now. Thank you

I don't really interact to people enough to have a rival, but sometimes i like to pretend God is my rival like in Saga of Tanya The Evil and i pretend he is the reason of my problems by constantly sabotaging me and that i will win against him by improving my life and turning into a better person despite all my misfortunes i am not schizophrenic i swear

I have a friend who I used to play Smash with, there was lots of trash talking between between and within our matches... we started on Smash 4 then moved on to Ultimate. He gave me a tough time on the later... at the time. Shall a rematch finally happen again, I will wipe the floor with his face

My rivals all seem to show up at the same time during morning and evening rush hour traffic. I’m looking at you Mr. Drives-fifteen-below-the-speed-limit-in-the-left-lane! Don’t even get me started on Ms. Dangerously-cuts-everyone-off-at-the-last-second-to-drive-from-the-far-left-lane-to-the-exit.

That's actually how I met my best friend.
We're classmates and we never talk to each other, long story short we challenged each other at Tekken 5 at local arcade, we drew a huge crowd, the rest is history.

For me to have a rival,
These guy (or girl) have to be the
Most naked motherfkr in this place...
Rival....

His name, Ethan Clark. The time, high noon. The place, the bowl at the skatepark. He said I was too chicken to drop into the bowl. Well I did dun proved him wrong, that one. It didn't matter I fell on my beehind, or that he was yuckin it up with his friends. All that mattered was that I proved him wrong. A chicken, I was not.

That day, The Rivalry was born.
