As I posted before
This was the only game I know of that uses the system of battle formations in a war-themed game
By battle formations I mean the famous fundamental formations of Line (abreast), Column, Echelon, Wedge, Crane Wing/V; formations that were used in medieval warfare and before, and still used by naval and in certain armored cavalry situations today
The usage of these formations are determined beforehand in the game I mention above (Ginga Sengoku Gunyuuden Rai), not organically/manually done during battle; therefore the unit(s) move and fight in formation.
And because the formations are different, the attack ranges and defences also varies (e.g. some units might be out of attack range in the echelon formation); this is the kind of game(s) I'm looking for
Any recommendations?
EDIT: gameplay video. See how the units move in formation, the different formations each group has and how that affects their attack parameters
