for those unaware of the genra its basically japanese dudes making cool Castlevania music and dressing as gay as humanly possible but still managing to pull more tail than any of us ever will. Personally my tastes are pretty vanilla I like Malice Mizer and some of Moi dix Mois what about you fellas? do we like the Dracula music or no?

I've literally never commented on here before now despite using this site quite often but I do indeed like Visual Kei and have a similar level of interest where I mostly just listen to Malice Mizer and a few other bands like NIghtmare or Luna Sea.

I don't listen to a whole lot of them with the exception of Versailles, X-Japan and L'Arc-en-Ciel(mainly because of anime lol). Never listened to Malice Mizer before, might have to now.

I have no idea what this is but it sounds amazing
Its pretty cool dude

Always will be a fan of Malice Mizer, late 90's/early 2000's Dir En Grey, and Luna Sea

Dir En Grey leans a little to much into the hevy metal side of things for my liking but they're visual style is awesome its very edgy in a fun way

Yes since the early 2000s I was into many v-kei bands, these days I listen to a handful. Some of my favorite back then were Psycho le Cému, X JAPAN, the GazettE, 雅—miyavi—, ギルガメッシュ, D’espairsRay, 12012. These days I still listen to Phantasmagoia, 蜉蝣, UnsraW and regularly keep up with DIR EN GREY, and ムック.

We have similar thread topics below:

Visual Kei isn't really my thing but I enjoy a few bands who are adjacent to the style.
There's one band I really like but since they were fond of displaying the so called windmill of friendship as a shock value marketing tactic I won't showcase them here.
