To me,Their A Good Studio known for Oshi no Ko and New Game, and their not as Highly Overrated as Kyoto Animation

I didn't care for Oshi no Ko. I found it kind of bland, actually.

I loved New Game! and the second season (why they didn't call season 2 New Game!+ I'll never know) and I still hold out hope for a third season. I agree that they are somewhat underrated as a studio. They have Hideo Furusawa and Megumu Ishiguro from Toei Animation fame running the place.

And with the like's of YuruYuri, Himouto! Umaru-chan, Gabriel DropOut, and Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian under their belt. In my opinion, it's a pretty good studio.

They did a few I really liked in particular Im pretty sure they did Plastic Memories, Engaged to the Unidentified (Mikakunin de Shinkoukei), Himouto Umaro chan, Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, and a few others, but your right I never hear about them mentioned much as a studio like KyoAni or even J.C Staff.. still they do pretty good work.. oh it seems they did the Koihime Musous and Gabriel Dropout too but I havent seen those yet..

They are very hit or miss.

Shame their repertoire is filled with moe trash, on occasion they might drop some absolute masterpiece like Plastic Memories, yet on another they drop tourist shit like Oshi no Ko.

All over the place, there is some of their stuff I like, but most I don't.

They made ガヴリールドロップアウト・Gabriel Dropout. So they're one of my favorite anime studios though I don't like everything made by them. I'm not a big fan of Oshi no Ko, I don't hate it though the first season wasn't good enough for me to continue with the series. I loved Engaged to the Unidentified, New Game, D-Frag, Umaru Chan/R, Senko and Plastic Memories.

They’re a pretty good studio if you ask me. I like how they pull those projects of theirs. Focusing on the modest 12-13 episodes per series/season makes every anime feels like they’re “packed in” unlike what other giant studios like Toei Madhouse etc. did with theirs that are littered with fillers.

Lets se well they made a few animes I love.

New game "man I want a new season"

Gabriel Drop out "This needs a seaons 2 god damn it"

The Helpful Fox Senko-san "wonderfull anime" I wish I got a fox girl that wanna make me happy preferble an Elf or goblin girl"

My Senpai is Annoying "damn funny anime and I need a seaons 2"

UzaMaid! very funny anime.

The Shiunji Family Children "great romance and it needs a seasons 2 for sure"

Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater "freaking love this anime also needs more seasons"

Seeing as they made anime I like allot but only 1 season each of them except 1 that has 2 seasons.
I will say I like them and hate them. Sure it´s not their fault allot of anime´s don´t get a second on third seasons because well if they don´t make money on it or there is not enough material why bother.

But still pisses me of. So I will give them top 3 on my list.

Why are we still throwing shade at Kyoani in 2026 is what I wanna know 😶

Also yes Doga Kobo is a good studio ofc
Cuz I'm sick and tired of hearing about KyoAni being the best anime studio ever,so I wanted to move on from them and find another random anime studio who Make Good Anime but doesn't Get talked about that much

Don't know much about them, nor have I seen any of the anime they have produced/animated.

My personal favorites are Mad House and Studio Trigger.

they were the masters in making moe anime in the 2010's, great shows like mikakunin, umaru, dumbbel and many more.

but now they (sadly) lost their "know-how" and today their animes are just normal (when not something horrible), i think gokumi took their place.

sincerely, i don't even remember the last time kyoani made a good anime, they are all about "incredible animation" and such, but the shows itself are just..., ....shit.

yeah another one of theirs I liked when I saw it years ago was Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi... I dont know if Id call it "moe", its more of a romance/ comedy/ harem sorta, but it certainly had their moe art style.. again, its nothing amazing, but again decent

i loved the ones you mentioned at the end there too, but I dont think they made D Frag, I just mentioned it earlier because everyone was saying how good New Game! is (which I downloaded the other day, gonna watch it this weekend!) and I said D Frag was funny because its kinda also about making games... well, at least about Game Making clubs... but it is hilarious.. I dont remember who made D Frag and Im too busy to look it up now

True D-Frag is by Brain's Base. Though I guess I added it cause I like it. Also it is one of the possible candidates for the anime with the Edo Period samurai rice recipe. Something about soaking the rice until it doubles in size. I'm pretty sure it's a real recipe, also it's probably named after a samurai if memory serves. I want to say Takao mentions it at some point though it could be from another anime. I've seen so many.

I completely forgot about these anime. I second the need for a second season of each, if nothing else, to wrap things up. I hate when something is left unfinished.

Breakwater is such a cozy anime. (English Dub is pretty funny to)

Yeah as some one that loves fishing my self Breakwater is damn great and cozy and I love the dub and im glad it was dubbed. Not sure why but watching anime with dub today just feels better. Yeah back in the day I prefered sub today I can watch sub if there is no dub what so ever.

But if I can always dub not sure what has changed with me but honestly yeah dub over sub.

I can't even watch subs anymore.
Trying to watch and read gives me a massive migraine headache, so it's dub or nothing for me.
I get ya tho
