I'm sure this doesn't violate anything by asking but if it does oops my bad.
For context, for any of like the 5 that read what I say you may know I'm currently suffering from some back pain atm. Nothing extreme will need to be done to get me out of it, but it did get me wondering right on the precipice of 6 year anniversary of my gallbladderless life: Has anyone else had major surgery or anything of the sort?
As mentioned, yes my gallbladder is MIA, but I also have a bar used to separate my tibula and fibula on my right leg from a car accident when I was 15. If you actually look at me while simply standing my foot is twisted slightly, and I won't even notice, plus I have a minor limp, but nothing too detrimental. The worse it gets is when there's a major change in weather. Anyway carry on my wayward waywards.

I had arthroscopic knee surgery in the late 90s. They had to cauterize an artery and when I took the bandage off it was stiff with blood. Way more than I expected. I also bled when the doctor removed the stitches. I still have the scars.

Lobotomy, too much thinking

I've never had a surgery in my life.

I've had hand surgery a couple of times. First one was to fix trigger finger in my right ringfinger, and the other was to repair a boxer's fracture.

had tubes put in my ears as a kid to stop ear infections.

I had an appendectomy back in my early 20s it had to be removed for it significantly swollen up(appendicitis) and about to rupture if left untreated.

My last surgery must have been over twenty-five years ago (probably an ingrown toenail). The most serious one I've had must have been for appendicitis.

Removed a precancerous mole, and colonoscopy are the most serious things I went through on the table.

I had the most minor surgery possible, to the point it feels like a stretch to call it a surgery. I stepped on a really small glass shard once, and I spent a long time trying to remove it from my foot but it went all the way in and none of it was sticking out. I tried soaking my foot and whatever else but couldn't get it out, and skin grew back over it after a few days. Walking was painful. So I had to get a scan of my foot done, and the same day a doctor shot made a cut in the foot and removed this tiny little piece of glass. It was very quick. So yeah, smallest surgery ever.

No.

Truth be told, I'm terrified of having surgery of any kind. Yes, I know I'd be anesthetized and unconscious, but having somebody cut me up is scary.
I am also scared of surgery not because of the surgery itself but the way the body can respond to anesthesy. You know some people were anesthesized but not unconscious? they were feeling everything but being unable to say or do anything. That's when you can die :(
