For cheap greatness on the handheld, the Professor Layton games are no joke in how charming and engaging they are! Not to mention, impressive for the hardware with the amount of animated cutscenes and voiced dialogue they have. So, I’d recommend looking for them if you can!

The original IV holds up surprisingly well but 3D has some balancing and QoL changes that also make it worth playing. I highly recommend playing the DS version of the remake though as the graphics seriously do not hold up on the big screen in HDDefinitely Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.
