I'm curious to see if anybody else is into demo discs, I love the little bite sized pieces of games you can get through them and I've discovered a fair amount of fun games that way. Plus some of the menu designs are awesome.

Definitely. The Playstation Magazine demo discs, the Playstation Underground demo discs, the OXM demo discs, the Official Dreamcast Magazine demo discs, etc.

I liked when demo discs offered exclusives that you couldn't find anywhere else. I remember one Playstation Magazine demo having Half-Life: Uplink, Xbox demos having a Christmas track for GT 2002 and a Halo-inspired track for Chase: Hollywood Stunt Driver, and a Dreamcast demo having a Christmas level for Toy Commander.

I also liked watching the interviews they'd have with developers on upcoming games. Some Xbox demos also had free DLC.

These were always a highlight, it was nice to have a chance to see demos for stuff that you maybe weren't sure about. I remember playing that first Klonoa demo a ton before the retail release, that was great fun. I could go either way on the menu designs and I never really cared too much about some designer in a video telling me how to perform a cheat code, but it was still a lot of content that justified the higher price for the magazines. Also, this was how I got Christmas NiGHTS originally, and that was a great surprise.

The menu designs were either awesome or disgusting, the American ones were mostly ugly and the European ones had more style. Also Christmas NiGHTS is my go-to Christmas game

Oh, I hadn't considered the regions being different! I guess that makes sense, but yeah some of the US ones were really rough. Some cool ones though too.

Hell yeah! Demo discs were the coolest things. I loved when they hid other demos or videos on the disc.

I don't know about a fan but they certainly have a special place in my memories. Games like Tomba I've beaten the demo so many times that I don't even know. I wish there was a place in todays world for these kinds of things but internet is just too convenient and everyone has like 3000 games ready to download at any given time and youtube filled with longplays to watch. I kinda miss having a crummy library of 8 games for the system you chose and a couple scratched up demo discs :D

I think it was on this exact disc. Also holy hell the music on these! These are a product of their time for sure.

Yeah I get you, when I was a kid I'd slog through rough games and end up liking them just because I didn't have anything else. But now if I don't like a game after an hour of playing I drop it and pick another.
