I’ve been playing through the WHD Loader set via the TF330 on my Amiga CD32, & I’ve been curious on what the best hacks to look out for are. I’m especially down-bad for QoL Two-Button hacks that get rid of the “up” input as the jump function.

I know I can browse the usual Amiga forums to get help with this but I’ve unfortunately encountered a few too many of the gatekeepy old guard that aren’t as welcoming as I would have ideally liked in terms of pointing me to the right direction. Also, any chance that Amiga or Commodore stuff will get hosted on RGT one day?

If MSX can join in, so Amiga and C64 can joined. All you had to do dream and gotta to believe that dream can come true.

I've never been a really hardcore Amiga fan, as I wasn't a computer owner at its peak and I only played the console ports of a few of its games (Lemmings, Worms) back then. However, I really love Agony and Apidya, both of which are great works of 2D graphics that are some of the most unique looking games in the shoot-em-up genre.

The town with no name is the only game I know that existed in Amiga and that's due to the memes

When I think about the Amiga I think about the Sensible software games, like Cannon fodder and Swos(To this day my favorite Football game).
My only "experience" of the Amiga(back when it was relevant), were some European game magazines around the mid nineties.

I've only played Apidya and Disposable Hero but I do like the music, I saw the GaMetal cover of Monty on the Run.

Love the Amiga. I own an A1200 that I've fitted with a few upgrades. Incredible library of software too. Music trackers, art programs, etc. Honestly, I'd use it as my main computer if it were possible.

It’s definitely gotten more play out of me than I thought it would—like, I’m playing through Fightin’ Spirit & legit having a great time with the game.

Also, nothing but love for the MSX too—I just wish it had an easier flash cart solution to use.

I’ve been exploring Amiga CD32 games recently, as they’re easier to emulate. I’ve found some great titles like Alien Breed, Chaos Engine, Sensible Soccer, Lotus Trilogy, and Zool. There are many more interesting floppy disk-only games I still need to check out. I love the unique aesthetics of the system’s games.

I think the CD32 could have done better if it launched earlier in the generation and with a clearer name.

I have only played Gloom, and some ports like Sid Meier's Colonization and SimCity, i did enjoy my time with them.

The Amiga seems like it could be my favorite gaming system ever. So many games on it that just look super creative, and highly innovative. I also find it very intimidating though. The games tend to have a really high entry barrier in my experience. Like they're either complicated or really hard. Not that thats a bad thing imo.

I always meant to pick up a CD32 (Glorified Amiga 1200) over the years for easy compatibility and CD burning. Got a MSX II instead (which I had to sell back in 2016 sadly)

I kinda still want one, but almost every legendary Amiga game has a dos port.

Subwar 2050 is a classic game I own on GoG but it's clunky when using a keyboard. I've always felt like a controller would help out a tone.
The CD32 natively supporting (But not always, a few games shipped bricked as the requited a keyboard when booting) a controller makes action and simulation games way easier to get into.

Yeah, it’s really made the 20L5 that much more essential to the setup, & there are just so many titles that don’t get the flowers they truly deserve. I have the Honeybee CD32 Competition pad & the Sordan wireless tank mouse so I’m super set control-wise for playing—I just can’t seem to find WHD Loader images with two-button mods (the set I was pointed to a while back has SOME but not as many as I’d would have liked.)
