What are some games prominently featuring anthropomorphic characters? I got into the Little Tail Bronx series recently, and it feels kind of odd that there aren't many high-profile games with anthro characters as a focus. Maybe you could count Sonic and other similar animal mascots, but I'm specifically referring to the more conventional furry or kemono style characters.

(My recommendations)
  • Sonic the Hedgehog Series
  • Star Fox Series
  • Crash Bandicoot Series
  • Spyro the Dragon Series
  • Ratchet & Clank Series
  • Sly Cooper Series
  • Donkey Kong Series
  • Pokémon Series (many anthro-inspired creatures)
  • Animal Crossing Series
  • Undertale
  • Deltarune
  • Ori and the Blind Forest / Will of the Wisps
  • Skyrim / Elder Scrolls Series (Khajiit & Argonians)
  • Night in the Woods
  • Banjo-Kazooie Series

Some Digimon/Pokemon would maybe fit the bill, although not exclusively.
Sly Cooper's a good one, and Star Fox is great (although depending on the game, you don't really see much of the characters...) i'll have to check out Lucky's Tale though

Dust: An Elysian Tail
Freedom Planet (has a sequel)
Fuga: Melodies of Steel (has 2 sequels)

inadvertently discovered there is an anthro festival occurring on the steam store while looking these up

Dust has been on my radar for a while now, I should really get around to it

Fuga is part of the Little Tail Bronx series, and between those games and .hack I think CyberConnect2 might be full of furries

Atlyss
Underneath the horny there's a really addictive Action RPG.
Kinda feels like an old free MMO but super fast paced. It's still in early access though, but the playable vertical slice is great.

If you can settle for prominent absence of pants, Sly Cooper almost counts.

I don't know if it counts as furry or anthro but Goodboy Galaxy has been on my to-buy list for some time...

Wow, never actually noticed that.

Somehow, every time I see Mia, I think of Blaze.

The Breath of Fire series has the dragon transformation system and a few races that are a bit more beastlike which happen to have some player characters. FFXII has a rabbit kemonomimi race whose stiletto heals are handwaved away with the lore reason "they need them to walk". I'm vaguely aware of the existence of Night In The Woods. There are many others I can't describe at length in this forum.

I got to play a little bit of Atlyss and it was a lot of fun, I'm waiting to play it with some friends though

Starfox Adventures
Adventures gets way too much flack, it's a very solid Zelda clone but to be honest it's honestly worth playing just for the ability to see the Star Fox cast outside of space combat. Although to be honest, a part of me wishes the original Dinosaur Planet version wasn't overhauled, Krystal seemed like she would've been a great protagonist.

I've been planning on playing BG&E for a while now, I had no idea there were anthros I'm completely blind on it lol

Hmm... there are many people who would probably be inclined to point out to you that FFXIV has catboys as well as dragon people with horns and bony/scaly patches on their skin.
Doesn't FFXIV have Hrothgars as well? I've been kinda curious about 14, it looks fun but I've never played an MMO before and the subscription format kind of irks me

Star Fox Adventures and Star Fox Assault do have more on-foot third person sections, although a lot of die hard fans didn't seem to like that

Damn I was about to rock this thread with Tail Concerto but I see OP has that covered. Lunistice is pretty cool, like an alt universe Sonic game for the Saturn.

To be fair, I think only the guys don't wear pants in Sly Cooper. Although, I guess the cast is MOSTLY guys so.... Do with that information what you will ::cirnoshrug

I couldn't stand Star Fox Assault personally. Having on-foot sections where you could also hop into the Arwing was cool but otherwise I found the level design bland, the non-Arwing controls awful, and the replay value completely nonexistent (which is a huge no-no for a Starfox game imo).
