What did you do to it? :)
The PSP just needed some cleaning, some ribbons weren't even connected from whoever owned this before me, and lastly, it needed a replacement power switch.

But if you're referring to the dismantled PSP, that PSP had a burned resistor, which I knew I wasn't gonna wanna fix, so it became a donor 🤫

very nice and clean work, very impressive
i should get a playstation portable. when i was younger i loved mine quite a lot. do playstation portable games look alright on the playstation vita? i do not know much about the vita
Thank you, I am still fairly new to PSP repairs, but so far I've been really getting the hang of diagnoses and problem solving. I had a Vita during the summer, and I played some PSP games on it. I think they look fairly nice, especially if you have an OLED model. Plus, the Vita will allow you some extra options to tweak your game :)

the screen looks pretty sharp and vivid, no signals of yellowing. i have a psp too but i want a model in better conditions and of a special edition as well
I've been lucky enough for my screens to be okay, but the fear lingers in the back of my mind. I might do an IPS on another psp but I think that's overkill for my needs lol. I really like the white Star wars psp, that one is fire

Is that a psp 1000? Looks real crisp.
Yurrrp. I had two 1000 models and I wanted to see if there was a chance on restoring one

The Repair and at the same time the Restoration of the PSP was wonderful.
You're a good technician fixing portable consoles like the PSP I appreciate you for that.
I get really sad seeing broken tech, I try to bring life back to them :)

I have a PSP-1000 with a bad card reader. I tried to open it up to fix it, but I have one screw that won't come out and I might have stripped it trying to get it off.
I hate stripped screws :/ A good habit is to spray some IPA on the screw and around it to clean off any gunk in the screw and around it that would make it hard to unscrew. Then to get rid of a stripped screw, the best two methods is to use a rubber band in between contact or VERY CAREFULLY, make a new dent on the top of a screw with a flathead and carefully tap it with a hammer.... but very carefully.... then afterwards you can unscrew it with the flathead.
