Ninja Scroll... and Vampire Hunter D (2000)
Ninja Scroll. yeah i could see it getting a Good remake, if done without any Current Era PC'ness and such
Vampire Hunter D tho... Maybe a Really good Remaster

Yu-Gi-Oh -> Season 0 and Duel Monsters ... and the adaption needs to be faithful to the manga
Dragon Ball / Z ( Hopefully no scandal this time either on the OST like what happened with Kai)
Prince of Tennis -> might as well get the Hunter x Hunter treatment ?‍♂️ it worked for FMA Brotherhood

Gantz -> Surprised there isn't one to be honest
Deadman Wonderland -> The anime didn't really cover the rest of the story did it ?

getbackers, samurai deeper kyo, rave master, flame of recca and saiyuki are examples of series, that i would like to see properly remade/remastered.

if I have to think of one series I would love to be remastered it would be 12 kingdoms/ juuni kokki
it's very underrated tbh and honestly it's a shame that the anime ended on a cliff hanger because the novel progressed to a point where it would be difficult to adapt without a lot of changes

i mean the idol girls singing is part of the whole anime itself even back to the original but i get what you mean Macross delta focused a lot more on Idol stuff than what the original and frontier did
granted that frontier did do a bit of idol stuff and released banger songs but they didnt stray that far off from where the original stands for
in Delta it just felt like the anime is just there to milk money from idol fans and sell CD albums
After the Trigun retrash I don´t want them touch anything. Well maybe remake Macross Delta and make it less shit remove all the shitty idiol girls and make a story equally as good as orginal.

A full adaptation of shadow star narutaru would be interesting to see. The anime ended on one of the more shocking parts of the manga without resolving much (not that there's much to resolve, it's very unfocused and poorly paced).

If an adaptation was attempted now I don't think I would enjoy it much. The contents of the later chapters would have to be censored heavily/cut entirely. I'm not much of a fan of modern animation styles as well.

A large part of my enjoyment of the anime comes from how similar it feels to elfen lied. Both aired around the same time, are unfinished adaptations of a manga, and contain "revenge against bullies" scenes that are infamous for their shock value.

(Enough rambling, I could go on about this forever).

Hmmm…

Remastered: (not totally remade)
Giant Robo (although creator has passed…)
Nadia: the secret of blue water (redone by Hideaki Anno so he can cut out those 12 BS episodes NHK made them add)
Simoun
Patlabor Movies
Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou OVAs
Angel’s Egg (might be happening!?)
Oh! Mikey
The Simpsons (best anime ever)
Texhnolyze

Adapted: (not crazy about modern style tho…)
Shimeji Simulation
Message to Adolf
Otherside Picnic (but by Mamoru Oshii)
Clover (by clamp)
Qualia The Purple
Girls Last Tour (finishing the series)
I See You, Aizawa-San!
20th Century Boys
Ulysses (not manga but would be cool)
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (the full manga though)

The girl's last tour anime was good enough that I think a shimeji simulation adaptation could work.

Elfen Lied needs an anime remake. The original is hideous.

there are people who want a juuni kokuki thats much more faithful to the light novels but i think for the most part a lot of the anime original changes were for the better narratively speaking. most notably though yuuka as a concept was just top notch and aside from them fumbling the ball with her character because they eventually didnt know what to do with her, she has to be one of my favorite things about that anime and objectively enhances the depth of the themes. if any reboot ends up choosing to completely dismiss that in favor of ln accuracy then its intentionally handicapping itself

Kekkaishi, since it doesn't cover the entire series.
Magi, for the same reason. A pity because it's a great anime.
Bleach with better drawings and animations.
Saint Seiya, because the original anime is pretty boring for our current times.
Mobile Suit Gundam, the first series.
Ashita no Joe, same as above.

Black Lagoon adapted to video game form is too good of an idea to not be a thing already. All we got are occasional limited time collabs with PUBG and PSO2NGS and a Black Lagoon Vita slots game.

It wouldn't have to be very ambitious, either. A straightforward third-person shooter similar to Max Payne, Stranglehold, or WET with Revy as the lead.

Of course, I would only be in favor of such a thing if they kept Revy as foul mouthed and prejudiced to all groups as she is in the source material. A big ask in our current climate for sure, but I can dream.

Upon first reading this I was piqued, but then I thought about it for a moment and realized you're correct. I guarantee I wouldn't enjoy it as much if I were to watch it for the first time now.

Love Hina would be nice to have a proper run, instead of just stopping out of the blue and rushing major plots.
