Don't watch The Matrix Resurrections, don't watch The Matrix Resurrections. Don't watch The Matrix Resurrections, Don't watch The Matrix Resurrections.
Don't watch The Matrix Resurrections.

DON'T WATCH IT.

Okay? Okay.
EDIT: Seriously, playing The Matrix videogames (Enter the Matrix and Path of Neo) through emulation or used copies or their PC ports is a much better use of your time than watching The Matrix Resurrections, because despite the jank, they're actually fun and faithful to The Matrix universe (Enter even serving as a canonical prequel to and side-story adaptation of Reloaded). Unlike The Matrix Resurrections. Don't Watch It.

Enlighten me on it broski. ill consider watching it again. last time i watched it was around 2017
They build on the lore in interesting ways, they feature some genuinely great action, and their explorations of choice and unity are fitting ways of building on the first film's exploration of belief. They are genuinely competent, solid attempts at continuing the story and though inferior, they still hold up alongside their predecessor.

Unlike Resurrections.

alright, ill give it another chance. This time from the very beginning.

What do you mean 2021, it feels like this released last year...my temporal awareness was never the same since lockdown

The Matrix universe is interesting enough for different, non-Neo stories to explore in it.

But there is no one in Hollywood or Atlanta who has the chops anymore, and any interesting series would get cancelled by Netflix halfway through a first season, and would never get its legs under it.

It's actually a good movie because it makes fun of Warner bois and the brain-dead Matrix fan bois lol.

Matrix was already a masterpiece that ended, but mindless people wanted another movie. They wanted to revive the dead donkey to carry their shit. They were blinded by nostalgia to feel entitled for more. They didn't care that the story was ended so they didn't see because story was ended they had no much way to continue it, they wanted more pew pew Matrix action and da fashion, slow motion scenes and shit and here is what you got. Weren't you satisfied? Don't blame the director, blame the company that doesn't care about art and sees art as money-making shit to use mindless customers type to make money by fooling them. Since Matrix owned by its directors they can do whatever they want with it even if it means they wanted to shit on their own movie instead of some random person does just to kill this IP once for all so no one would want it again. In that regard the director did a good job lolol.

So if you didn't get why the movie's name is "The Matrix Resurrections", it's not because it been too long since a new Matrix movie released or some shit, it was to make the fact of "the series was ended for good but it was forced to turn into a zombie" way more obvious than the movie can make but I guess even that shit wasn't clear for some lol.

unless it's Bladerunner 2097 It's p much a safe bet never to watch a modern day legacy sequel lmao.

Still want those two hours of my life I lost watching Dial of Destiny back::warcraft-skeleton

The Matrix having sequels, or direct sequels even, is a total waste of the concept. Animatrix had the right idea atleast, and people still talk about Second Renaissance and A Detective Story just to throw out two examples of where you can tell stories in the universe without Neo, Trinity, and Morpheus becoming flanderised versions of themselves.

Wow. I think I've found a prime example of pretentious, self-righteous people who like bad legacy sequels that subvert expectations for the sake of it.

And don't fight back: I like postmodern fiction like Metal Gear Solid 2... but Matrix Resurrections is an example of bad postmodern fiction. Never underestimate your audience. They are kind, gentle people who respond well to quality fiction. They don't like bad stories, and Resurrections is a prime example.
