I have been watching a lot of Nostalgia Nerd lately and been thinking about adding Amiga and Commodore games to my Batocera setup. Was wondering if those games work well with modern controllers, think most that I seem interested in I saw being played with a joystick. Didn't know if a lot of the game library requires a keyboard to enjoy or if I'm good to go with just my controller.

It's very playbale on Retroarch for the Amiga. I use a controller with PUAE and map joystick and mouse on the sticks, depending on the game. There's also a virtual keyboard for the few keys you dont have buttons left to map for more complex games like Silent Service. Batocera should have the same core or very similar I think.
