Game Description:

American McGee's Alice is an Action-Adventure/Horror/Platformer 3D video game published by Electronic Arts and developed by Rogue Entertainment released on 2000 for Microsoft Windows.

This is the remastered version of the game released by EA on June 14th, 2011 for PC. While technically the original game is abandonware, a version of it is included as a free DLC in the sequel game Madness Returns. (that's not gonna stop me from posting this lol)

This includes the optional VorpalFix QOL modification (instructions on installation linked below)
https://github.com/Wemino/VorpalFix

The original instruction manual is included in the download. It includes some interesting lore, subtle gameplay tips and the KB/M control layout mapping. Giving it a read is recommended for the best experience. (sad they don't include manuals with games anymore...)

To launch the game run the alice.bat file found in the Alice1/bin folder.
Testing and working fine on Windows 10/11.

This release was compiled and files provided by non-xerox-possibility (thanks bro)

Unable to save the game, every slot says that my HDD is full. Right....

EDIT: Putting the VorpalFix content in the BIN folder fixes this as well as adding a ton of improvements.

Like I said in the post description the original game (this one) was included as a free DLC in the sequel game as a remaster. This post is actually just the files from that DLC for the PC version. Juiceala probably played that DLC on the PS3 one and is remembering it from that
Ah yes, I remember it was a dlc included in the sequel, I remember the controls needed some getting used to, I never finished it though, kinda got bored, I had a friend who introduced me to it who was a big fan but horror themed games and movies don't usually appeal to me.

Okay, so now we're becoming an abandonware site?
Not really sure why this is an issue, the whole point of this community is to preserve old games 🤷‍♂️

Friend tells me about American McGee. Think hes joking....
Look it up.
He was abused, abandoned and all other sorts of shit.

Read up wtf happened to him recently and how he is.

Jesus f-ing christ
i played both games it says a lot

How is this different from hosting console games up to gen 7 from those same companies? Piracy is piracy.
Piracy is life. Yo ho, ho and a copy of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii downloaded from a torrent lol

Okay, so now we're becoming an abandonware site?
We always kinda have been. It's just that the Windows section has never been that much of a focus compared to the rom and iso stuff. We won't upload any less of those of course. Just expect to see more classic Windows and MS-DOS games every now and then. I'm thinking of uploading the MS-DOS game Shadowcaster tomorrow probably

Isn't this on PS3? I swear I remember playing this on PS3 back in 2012.

One of the few games I never beat not cause of the quality, but the jank and unbalanced game design. Who knew making a third person action adventure platformer that's played with M&KB on the Quake engine was a bad idea. And boys the enemies, the red queen's signature catch phrase is practically their life motto with how aggressively they want to lob off your head.
Still gotta come back and beat this some day, I like the Alice in Wonderland aesthetics too much to leave this unfinished.

  • I dislike when a game developer puts their own name in their game title.
  • Especially when they're appropriating an existing literary figure at the same time (Alice).
  • And all-the-more-especially when they have an annoying name.
It was like the marketers and creator were lying to your face that this person is important.

I wouldn't mind if Jeff Minter released a game called "Jeff Minter's Cudchewing Festival". I have 0 problem with Shigesato Itoi's #1 Bass Fishing.
Yes I agree with this!

It was Lewis Carroll, not American McGees who wrote the Alice. I have never even heard of this American! They are just there to try the climb on shoulders trick to gain more from someone great who wrote a nice Children book many year ago.

I am not like the look either, very dark and odd, not with what the book is about at all. This I will not play!

Bless your heart. This is an absolute classic.

Clive Barker's Undying is another one too. It doesn't bother me all that much. I don't get hung up on details like that. Yeah it's the title, but the game itself is more important imo
