All home ports of Altered Beast were on less powerful hardware than the arcade board. Even if it's very likely Amiga and PC Engine CD could've been much more faithful.

They ripped sprites from other games for this? The skeleton knight and the dude with the long, blunt-looking sword are both from Aria of Sorrow, I'm almost certain (they're on the screen at the same time at 0:31 in the video).

EDIT: They also have demons from Castlevania: Circle of the Moon later in the video.

What's the difference between the two modes/versions? I was never really an Altered Beast fan.
