if there is something cute and moe in a game ill probably play it. same goes for anime ill watch it if its cute. usually there are shows out there that balance both the cute and harsh aspects of the world. one famous example is of course madoka magica. other less famous examples are yuuki yuuna wa yuusha de aru. and toji no miko.

I feel that "cute" female characters existed since the late 70's but it's a bit annoying when it's clear that they want to put one to appeal to the basic otaku or making a ton of marketing and products on the character.

When they're a nice support character it can be fine. I didn't mind Stein;Gates even if there was that "tuturu" girl being just... there.

I don't mind clumsy characters but sometimes they're just comic reliefs for the sake of it.

Lucky Star is fun tho.
