Thanks to the collective efforts of the Video Game History Foundation along with Michael Shorrock and Sega Channel Guy – 142 (!) new Sega Channel and Sega Genesis prototype ROMs have been preserved

Thank goodness, i remember the sega channel from when i was a kid, i used to come home from school and play on it for hours, i even remember the one month where they accidentally left a save file for shining force 2 at the halfway point which became a challenge run to see if i could both catch up to the save and beat the game before having to sleep for the night, since your personal saves wouldn't save.

Currently trying out the Flintstones (Ocean) Genesis port. It's about what you would expect from a SNES to Genesis conversion—Slightly worse graphics and sound, but is otherwise identical to the SNES game.

It's nice to finally have a more complete build that has music during gameplay.

So... are we allowed to upload these to the CDRomance repository? If it were up to me, I'd say at the very least the SEGA Channel exclusives (Garfield: The Lost Levels, The Flintstones, etc.) should be fair game, you know?

Also, despite the SEGA Channel version of Pulseman releasing a year later than the Japanese cartridge release, it has an earlier build date... despite having FEWER bugs than the JP release.

In the JP cart release, you can spam uncharged volteccers to become completely invulnerable to damage. You can do something similar with Pulseman's Up+B overhead kick, but it's not nearly as useful since you can't move horizontally with that move. The US SEGA Channel release removed the i-frames... or rather the JP version added them due to the date discrepancy mentioned above.

If we were allowed to upload to the CDRomance repository, we would have a lot more ROMs available 👀

Not 'cuz of me or anything ::winkfelix

Yeah, I meant "we" as in the mod team... which I am not part of...
I should probably head to bed.
