Alisa-Vita-Cover.jpg

This is a port of the indie survival horror/action-adventure indie game Alisa - Developer's Cut to the PS Vita. This game is heavily inspired by classics of the genre such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill 1. Think Resident Evil but with a gothic lolita feel with evil creepy automaton puppets. I actually enjoyed it a ton and honestly liked it better than the games it was trying to emulate. This port is amazing and runs at full 60 fps even during cutscenes and having 2x rendering turned on. Port Credits: Released by: Rinnegatamante Status: Complete Current Version: v1.2 Date: […]

Sure no problem! Dm me anytime :)
I will send you a DM but careful though, there is A LOT of GTA games ported to Vita, to the point I used to joke with the devs how every GTA has a Vita port, Rockstar can be quite iffy about sharing GTA online though so it might be wise to avoid those for now at least.

Well I already shared a lot of them here via archive.org but I do know some links for other games as well as a discord server, I will DM you if you're interested, I was lazy to download and test big games I'm personally not interested in like GTA and CoD but there are a ton.

If you happen to have those other links or know where to find them let me know! Very interested! I can test them :)

Go nuts, I was a bit lazy to create pages to each entry and also wasn't sure unofficial PS Vita ports are allowed but I guess they are, I'm curios if these run on emulator because I tested these on my modded PS Vita but I can't run a PS Vita emulator.

There are many other homebrew ports though, mostly multiple CoD ports, multiple GTAs, multiple Final Fantasies, Bully, Duck Tales Remastered and a lot of mobile games, to name a few, but I only have here the games I personally have/care for.

To be fair, as much as I'm upset Sony gave up on the Vita so easily it's kind of a blessing in disguise as Sony is notorious of patching their systems from exploits and we wouldn't have had the same active homebrew community we have today, sure the PS5 was hacked but how active is the homebrew community for that system?
PS Vita homebrew community = The population of Canada
PS5 homebrew community = 2 bros in a garage
lol

and how much the community is rocking what sony squandered!

I was thinking about adding the Final Fantasy Dimensions port since that was one you didn't have. Also a few of the good Android ones like Kero Blaster from the guy who made Cave Story (Daisuke Amaya aka Studio Pixel)

Oh wow if I can I will post all of these lol

You say that assuming I was a fan who contacted the guy and tried to befriend him but was shut down and grew this fanboy grudge when in reality it was a completely different story, I know the guy, I've spoken to him a lot on discord for a couple of years and was an active member in his discord server, he knows me too well too, I don't care to "befriend a super cool and awesome developer" I've been heavily involved with many of these homebrew developers for the past decades and even beta tested a bunch of popular homebrews.
That's pretty rad tbh Discord is a cool place to meet people like that. I used to associate with Japanese translators on there and helped provide raws of manga volumes for them to translate

Well, you don't need to befriend with everyone just because you share some interests with them. Besides, people tend to be colder and weirder in the internet, so I doubt he acts like a dick with people close to him in real life, like we all do.

A very talented guy.
Not a very friendly person.

Such is the case of most programmers, from my 20+ years experience with homebrew programmers, consume their talent but don't attempt to befriend them, the less you directly interact with them the better, but of course there are some humble and respectful ones.

It is high quality, I honestly just quickly put something together and call it a day, especially since my laptop died a while ago so I just make a lazy mock up on ipad, lol, but it helps that I am an artist so a quick lazy five minutes mock up still looks decent, but this looks really good though.
Thanks ^_^ I'm not an artist so it was really just a bunch of splicing and resizing in Photoshop. I took the PS Vita banner from another cover on here and the Teen ESRB label from one on here too, resized the official Alisa art from the game's Itch.io page, and fixed it all into place. It turned out better than if I just lazily took the official art and let the post editor gallery resize it

Also, can we just talk about how surprisingly good that custom cover I created turned out? lol I was thinking of commissioning someone to make it for me, but decided to tackle it myself

Sucks to hear he might be a dick. He's basically pulling the PS Vita out of the pit of irrelevance by keeping it alive with all his high quality mods, plugins, homebrew applications, and ports. I've always thought highly of him from seeing his name on such high quality work, but it stings to know that he might be a jerk when trying to associate with him

I have this on my PlayStation. tip for new players. on your first playthrough do not buy enhancements to your self only buy weapons. if you enhance yourself you will be permanently locked out of ending A that includes new game plus you will have to freshly start over

I found out about this port when it was posted on Reddit. I just finished it last night (ending A). It has its problems (i.e. the camera angles really need work) but for something I got for free, it's tolerable.

Some suggestions: Try to conserve ammo and only use the pistol and sabre until at least you get through the first boss. You may want to save, go try to kill some enemies and die, reload your save, and try again before committing to saving again. Also save often, as boss areas and traps that can lead to death aren't always clear, and you can happen upon them unprepared.

edit: spelling
