It's a single player game and has only two playable characters and four tracks (even less than Sonic R).First off, only two characters to choose from in a racing game?
Second, 2005? The same year Mario Kart DS came out?
Sounds about right.Guess i am spending 7 hours trying to make this work.To them play it for half an hour, and them deleting it.
Thanks! With your setup tip, it worked! I like racing games with power-ups, I didn't know about this one.It works in Windows 10, i had to set compatibility to Windows XP service 2, and 640x480 mode.
Thanks! I like racing games with power-ups, I didn't know about this one. With the tip of changing to Windows XP compatibility and screen size, the game worked. It gave me trouble with win10 as well but then it ran, played a few races, I remember it used to run fine on winxp but admittedly I haven't tried it with win7 and I no longer have winxp.
Perhaps if someone knows of a fix/patch I would include it but for now it's a coin toss wither it'll work or not.
I did find this version on myabandonware but idk if I can trust it https://www.myabandonware.com/game/aladdin-s-magic-carpet-ride-h03
Game is also on GOG it seems.

The draw distance puts the PS1 to shame, I was surprised this released in 2005, meaning when I got it (2006-2007?) it was relatively new? Huh...Oh GOD!! Those character models are nightmare fuel. The PS2 had been out for 5 years by then:
