Hey now I can't draw a stick figure, let alone a detailed character.
So what's wrong with letting an AI do it? I only used it for character references for @Retro Doomer forum game. Not like I was trying to sale them, and I'm not paying someone for a one-off picture for a forum game.

I wouldn't want to waste the artist's time. I don't mind AI for stuff like this, and I see nothing wrong with that. It's when people try to pass off AI-generated art as their own work. Yes, you may have typed the prompts, but you didn't do the actual work.

That, I see as a wrong use of AI. ::cirnoshrug

I literally never see AI manipulated videos on YouTube.

My algorithm is good.

Your algorithm, I feel, is not good. Which is unfortunate for you.

My advice? Watch better videos.
I would like to retract this statement as they finally got me. I understand your anger.

I did let it help me clean up a thumbnail but I agree I hate A.I and I want it to go.

I don't have a problem with AI, it just needs clear rules, and that's the problem: there are people who will abuse it and use it for bad purposes. I believe AI needs to be protected from people, but that probably won't be possible either.

AI should get on everyone's nerves. Rod Stewart is in hot water for basically abusing it.

I have to wonder if it was his idea. He's 80. There's no way he understands AI.

Will Smith is also being berated for a music video with an AI crowd. It's really freaky with weird hands and signs. If artists are going to use AI to make their ticket sales look higher on film then they need to wait until AI is better at mimicking humans correctly. I'd prefer that artists didn't do this in the first place. But they will. And it's gonna look freaky for a good long while yet.

Yes, since last week AI has been getting on my nerves because it never works properly.

Well, you better get used to it because AI will never work properly. There will always be problems with it no matter what you use it for.

It gets more and more disconcerting by the minute. There is a corp in Australia that is making biocomputers with cloned human neurons that are being used to run AI models. It is also much less power intensive than running the things on farms of GPUs and whatnot, meaning it is cheaper and far likelier to take off. I'm pretty sure there would definitely be a ghost in that sort of shell. While it's not like they're ripping someone's brain out and plopping it in a jar, it raises serious ethical questions as to whether or not these things are truly capable of sentience and are alive, if it is morally wrong to create life just to enslave it and force it to endlessly generate art while not even giving it the privilege of a body, as well as the potential that we are creating competitor for resources that might end up with ourselves as a resource.

Even if doesn't go full AM or Skynet, AI seems to be a paperclip maximizer for consumerism. In a world with finite resources, I feel that the only way that ends is with everything being consumed.
