AI really gets on my nerves

You almost only see AI-manipulated videos on YouTube
I literally never see AI manipulated videos on YouTube.

My algorithm is good.

Your algorithm, I feel, is not good. Which is unfortunate for you.

My advice? Watch better videos.

My ISP, certain government offices (customer service is probably not the right term for this but I'm not sure what it), and a random assortment of companies that provide my hygiene products, tech purchases (except Newegg, they're still good about reaching the vendor) and billing departments.

It's likely different from country to country and if you're not experiencing this crap, I'm happy for you and hope it stays that way.
i'm in america. you'd think that most companies over here would be on board with full automation of their services, but i guess some of the companies are too lazy to do that at the moment.

Unfortunately, "voting with your wallet" has had a long, bloody history of failing miserably -- from the boycots to products of a certain origin to just not buying from shitty retailers.
"Voting with your wallet" has actually worked VERY well in the entertainment industry, companies like Disney and Square Enix are losing A LOT of money.

Assuming this is mostly directed toward generative AI, I don't really comment on it anymore because it's so prevalent, but that doesn't mean I like it. I work in illustration so generative AI art is the kind I'm exposed to the most. I just think it's ugly and strange, but I can't be arsed to make a big stink about it.
I like the stupid wizard memes though, and I know like 90% of them are AI generated. I think one of the biggest problems are when people demand attribution or credit for AI generated content, when they more fall under definitions similar to memes, in that they're effectively nobody's (essentially worthless) property.

People tend to forget in this discussion that people view it from really different viewpoints, so there are varying degrees of disapproval and approval to all the varied aspects surrounding it which kinda tends to get lost in the sauce because people get really accusatory and hostile, both when trying to defend OR attack it.

Simply put for me personally: I don't engage with it, I don't consume it, and I don't care for it, nor about it.

It went to a point that i had to click on "not interested" and block EVERY user that "made" ai content on tiktok. Thank god this type of thing doesn't appear to me on youtube.

I don't get why people have such a big problem with AI, other than it being a misnomer. It's a tool like any other. It's in the growing pains stage so some kinks need to be worked out. It may or may not change the world as we know it and if it does then we'll simply have to adapt like we have adapted to so many other things that came before.
Oh hey this is the second time I see misnomer used in the forum. Thank you, random google search.

AI is still being improved. Is that a good thing...no, but like mostly everything, it will come out on top. YOU MUST ACCEPT IT!!!

honestly i say F### no to that, but it's way of life. Ask John Henry

Ever time I see an AI video on the mainpage I hit "don't reccommend this channel" to keep them off my feed. But they still keep coming...

how to tell if a picture is ai.png

hold on let me ask my ai girlfriend koneko-chan for her opinion on the matter

"ai will be perfect by next year -- trust me guys we just need to invest 20 trillion more dollars -- and get some more lonely dudes divulging private information -- to the waifu chat bots"

she has my social security number so im inclined to agree

People divulge military secrets just to win arguments on Warthunder forums. You think a 'Koneko-chan' wouldn't be used in a hybrid war? Replika already proved that lonely people are willing to go very far for a shred of approval and validation even when they know they're not dealing with a real person. Or maybe they feel comfortable doing so BECAUSE they know that. I'm not sure which option is worse to be honest.

"Grok is this true? Answer me like you're x character"
& "I asked ChatGPT"
Both sound really lazy to me when people are supposed to do a little research and learn something new. It makes people lazy and they won't bother thinking, in a similar way to what auto correct does when typing.

AI is no different then, the Assemble Line, or Computers, or the Internet... It's the next thing. Like it or not; It will defiantly replace some jobs and people.
There will always be places that will refuse to use it; like companies that still use a typewriter or printing press.

But Sky.Net

Oh no Sky.Net, I don't want to think about this AI from Terminator.

It's quite unpleasant to see "artist" handle watermarks on generated images and imageboards with artist tags of people who only write generative AI prompts.

Give it about 10 years and you will no longer be able to tell if it's real or an AI anymore. I like it. It has its place.

I don't know how you all feel about AI but it's really starting to get on my nerves. You almost only see AI-manipulated videos on YouTube, I really don't understand what many people have with it and what they actually want with it 🤷‍♂️ I think AI simply takes the soul away from many videos. Whether it's movies or games, everything is now being reworked with AI it really drives you crazy 😡😤 !!!!!!
best it to pacient and watch content from creators you curate... dont panic and play retro video games
