I don't know how you all feel about AI but it's really starting to get on my nerves. You almost only see AI-manipulated videos on YouTube, I really don't understand what many people have with it and what they actually want with it 🤷‍♂️ I think AI simply takes the soul away from many videos. Whether it's movies or games, everything is now being reworked with AI it really drives you crazy 😡😤 !!!!!!

it's a new toy. it will take a while for everyone to get bored of it and then the amount of ai made content will go down.

Like everything else, it has its pros and cons.

I sometimes talk to AI to get stuff off my chest, and a lot of times it is fun to troll.

I do find those AI YouTube videos hilarious because they think they are being cinematic and shit, when all they really come across as is really awkward and unnatural LOL.

Yeah these are just soulless animations nothing more and what bothers me most are these fake remakes of games just crazy.

I hate that almost every big company has resorted to using AI for their services—touting it as the next big thing. When in reality, it's anything but.

AI customer service is complete garbage, but big companies have always hated having to spend money on serving their customers. When I worked in a call center long ago, some executive once gave us a speech about how we were "the only department that's losing money". We were customer service, literally a necessary business cost for every other department to be able to operate. This kind of backward thinking is why they jump to the automated voice bullshit that never actually solves your problem. Even with chatbots, I've had to use them 3-4 times so far, and every time they ended up having to connect me to an actual agent because the bot is useless.

Luckily my youtube algorithm has not been taken over by AI at all so far. I guess it depends what you're looking for. If it all turns to the kind of AI videos I have seen here and there, I'll finally stop wasting time on that platform.

It's literally 1984. Art is produced without human input to prevent invoking any emotion or thought. Same principles apply here.

"Julia was twenty-six years old... and she worked, as he had guessed, on the novel-writing machines in the Fiction Department. She enjoyed her work, which consisted chiefly in running and servicing a powerful but tricky electric motor... She could describe the whole process of composing a novel, from the general directive issued by the Planning Committee down to the final touching-up by the Rewrite Squad. But she was not interested in the final product. She "didn't much care for reading," she said. Books were just a commodity that had to be produced, like jam or bootlaces."

"The tune had been haunting London for weeks past. It was one of countless similar songs published for the benefit of the proles by a sub-section of the Music Department. The words of these songs were composed without any human intervention whatever on an instrument known as a versificator. But the woman sang so tunefully as to turn the dreadful rubbish into an almost pleasant sound. He could hear the woman singing and the scrape of her shoes on the flagstones, and the cries of the children in the street, and somewhere in the distance, a faint roar of traffic, and yet the room seemed curiously silent, thanks to the absence of a telescreen."

I still have hope that we will soon be freed from such a thing 🙏
some parts of it will fall off and go away. other parts will be integrated into business and other facilities, and depending on what it is, will either become accepted, or people will just go out of their way to avoid it.

no matter how good a machine is, they can't truly replace humans.

Yes, I think so too. No AI in the world will replace a human.

I don't get why people have such a big problem with AI, other than it being a misnomer. It's a tool like any other. It's in the growing pains stage so some kinks need to be worked out. It may or may not change the world as we know it and if it does then we'll simply have to adapt like we have adapted to so many other things that came before.

It is so shit, shame on MR Beast for trying to sell an AI Thumbnail Maker to children who´s dream to become an YouTuber. It is easier than ever to scam people nowadays. All thanks to OpenAI.

I think AI is different and one should not underestimate it and it is clear that many feel threatened by it but I also think we have to be careful with it. Personally, I've had enough of all these AI videos there are simply too many.

I remember seeing on YouTube the early AI voice videos and found them really uninteresting. I didn't find stuff like "The presidents argue about video games" funny it just wasn't for me but they always were recommended to me.
I preferred sentence mixing or impersonations for that type of stuff.

AI is a tool that can be used in good and bad purposes, some of the bad I know are:
  • Generate misinformation (News sources could do that before hand)
  • Deepfakes to harass people or blackmail
  • Students using it to do their homework/exams/projects for them and as a result not learn
  • Scrapping all sorts of art without permission with no citation of what was used
In the end I think it will lose it's popularity like Crypto currencies and NFTs did and we will have to live with the fact that AI exists.

Edit: People losing their jobs due to AI replacing them is awful but I think that won't be the case forever and companies will hire artists again due to a higher quality demand than what the AI can do. Maybe I'm too optimistic about this...

I've seen a lot of good that AI can do in health related fields. AI can also be great if it can replace manual labor type of work, so that actual people don't have do deal those types of jobs.

AI in more creative fields is a little more dicey. It can be a useful aid to people when used minimally, but many times when I see AI being used nowadays it looks very unappealing. Such as whenever I hear that AI voice used in videos or whenever I see any kind of AI art online or every company in the world having their own AI program. This, like NFT's should hopefully just be a passing trend.

I think the most annoying part of it is, a large number of people dont even realize its AI generated.
I sometimes see my mom watch those AI videos and she always seems to think that their real.
